Chapter 51: Steppin' Up

*Sasha's POV*

I walked in the studio. There were a lot of niggas in there that I recognized.

"Stokeley why they got so many people in here?"

I was the only girl in the room.

"Damn she fine Stokeley, you might have to let me tap that." Trippie said out of nowhere.

Stokeley got tense.

"Ignore him Stokeley." Coolie said.

"Don't try me homie."

I looked at him with the most disgusted face ever.

"We invited you over here for a collab my nigga, you don't want no shit from her." Jah said.

I walked up to Stokeley as all of the dudes in the room looked at me.

"We kinda busy, unless you looking for a collab too? I don't mind putting you on the track baby."

"Well for one, Serg is with his uncles, and Natalie is busy making a profit so you're all I have left. But if you busy I can just go back to the house and chill. I ain't gotta bother you."

I was about to walk out when Stokeley said "No stay. We going out later to Uzi concert and Jah and I are performing. Come with us."

Jahseh put his arm around me. He could tell I was kind of uncomfortable around the dudes.

"How you ain't recognize them?" He said.

I looked around and saw Jarad, Aka Juice Wrld. I also saw Uzi.

"Jarad and Symere."

I dapped them up.

"So you Sasha? I remember seeing you at one of my concerts with Yachty. Man Stokeley talks about you so much." Jarad said.

"Oh really now?" I said looking back at Stokeley.

Juice, Uzi and my vros were the only people I recognized besides Stokeley.

I chilled with them until it was time to go to Uzi's concert.

Stokeley and Symere were talking low as if they didn't want us to hear them talking, but I didn't pay attention to them.

We pulled up to the concert and walked into the building. It was packed.

Since Uzi was so tight with Stokeley and Jah, we all got in free. We even got to go backstage for free. I can get used to this.

"Alright we finna go perform. You wanna watch it from back here or with the audience?" Stokes said.

"Imma go with the audience. I mean I am your biggest fan." I said giving him a smile while walking back to the crowd.

I got to the front and Uzi introduced Ski and X as his opening acts.

They were performing their iconic songs "Freddy Vs Jason", "Take A Step Back", "Rip Roach", and "Off The Wall".

I felt someone leaning on my shoulder. It gave me a feeling that I've felt before. I looked up and Miles looked right back at me.

I just kept staring at him.

"What I surprised you or something?"

"Nah it's just that I didn't expect to see you here you know. After all we went through."

"That's the past, I still want to be your friend." He said smiling.

As Stokeley was performing his verse on "Off the Wall", he looked at me and saw who was next to me.

When the song went off he said "I want to I introduce y'all to my girl. Sasha baby come up here."

Everyone cleared space for me to walk through and he grabbed my hand and pulled me up on the stage.

He grabbed one of my hands while the microphone was in his other hand. He looked at me.

"Sasha I put you through a lot and I think it's time for me to step up."

He got on one knee.

"Here's another promise ring for you and what our future holds. And with our child. I love you so much. I promise to be the best for you. I wanna marry you one day."

He slipped the ring on my finger and we kissed and hugged.

Everyone clapped in awe of what they just saw.

"This is just the beginning." He said.

I scanned the crowd and saw that Miles had a slight smile on his face. I guess he is over the past and I can just move on with Stokeley. It doesn't hurt to be friends with your ex.

We proceeded to walk off stage as Uzi was about to take over.

*Stokeley's POV*

I gave Sasha another ring for our future. I really love her. I want her to know how deeply committed I am.

I saw her in the crowd with Lil Yachty (Aka Miles).

I can't lie and say I wasn't jealous cause I was. I had just made a collab song with Yachty and A$AP Ferg last week. We called it "No Tilt".

We were just starting to get along and when I saw that comment on Sasha's page I couldn't help but reply. Yachty took it as a joke but deep down I wasn't playing. Sasha didn't give it any deep thought either. Guess it's better if I don't say anything at all.

*Later On That Night*

I laid down in my bed stretched out tired from earlier today. I heard the door open and Sasha's eyebrows went up.

"What?" I said.

"We gotta talk about today. We not gonna be disregarding shit Stokeley. So you meant what you said?"

"Yes, every word." I said pulling her on my lap.

"What's on your mind?" She said.

"Wait no, lemme guess. Miles huh? I told you it was over. I saw that look. I don't wanna argue with you so just leave it at that." She said getting up to walk out while smiling.

All I could do at the moment was think of how she can read me like that.
