Chapter 56: Lifetime

*Stokeley's POV*

It took me a while to finally come to this decision, but I know for a fact that I'm ready to do this.

Sasha is the only girl I ever think about. Other girls don't even cross my mind. Not only is she the mother of our child, but she is the love of my life. I put her through so much of my bullshit, and she never gave up on me.

She believes in me. She's my one in a million.

I took her on a trip. Just the two of us. She doesn't suspect anything.

We were in Cabo. I took her to the nicest restaurant there. She insisted that we should go half and half but I'm not letting my girl pay for me.

We sat down in a booth and ordered. I set up my proposal for her. I planned everything. They are going to deliver our food and then afterwards they will have posters that read "Will You Marry Me?"

I told the waiter to slip the ring into her wine.

We ordered our food and it was delivered to us.

*15 minutes later*

Sasha and I talked more, then we ate our food and then finally the time came.

Sasha drunk her drink and she spit something out. It was the ring.

"What's this?" She said.

I grabbed the ring out her hand and got on one knee as the workers came out with the posters that said "Will You Marry Me?"

Sasha covered her mouth obviously stoked about it.

"Sasha Nychole Harris, you make me want to become a better man. I've changed my whole life around with you in my life. I need every inch of you. I never meant to hurt you. You're the woman that I need in my life. We've gone through hell and back, but that's life. I'm only attracted to you. I wanna spend an eternity with you and that's why I wanna ask.Will you marry me?"

"Yes, I will marry you."

She began crying and I picked her up and spinned her up in a circle.

Everyone in the restaurant clapped.  She continued to cry and I comforted her. Those were happy tears that I loved to see.

The rest of the trip was good. I've finally succeeded my dream.

*Sasha's POV*

I'm gonna be a Goulbourne.

I walked into my house with Serg and all eyes were on me.

"So you marrying this nigga?" Wifi said.

"Yeah she's marrying this nigga!" Stokeley said.

" I am marrying him. Who has a problem with that?"

"They just surprised that's all." Jah said as he fed Jenny.

"And why is tha-."

"Stokeley she loves you. Cause I know Sasha and she probably would've said no." Natty said coming out of the bathroom.

"That must be nice. My girl broke my heart." Jarad said.

"Why you so sad all the damn time?" I said patting him on the back.

He laughed.

"You serious?" Stokeley said.

"I guess you can say that you are one of a kind."
