*3 weeks later*
*Stokeley's POV*
Today was the day we kiss this shitty ass school goodbye. I was happy as fuck. My baby was chosen as valedictorian. Natalie was the salutatorian. Jahseh and I were proud as fuck. Usually people graduate in May, but somehow we were done early.
We all got dressed and put on our cap and gowns. We were all about the walk across the stage, get our diplomas, and go on with our lives.
We all held hands together in 4's. After graduation I ain't going to college. I'm focusing on my music career. There's no point for me to go to college. I don't need that.
We all sat in our spots just waiting for our names to be called.
The principal started speaking on the microphone.
"At this moment we would love for our valedictorian Sasha Harris and our salutatorian Natalie Vaughn to come and give our speeches."
Sasha started speaking.
"As your valedictorian, I just wanna say that high school wasn't a pleasant experience for me at all, but I got through it. Nothing is impossible. There's "I'm possible" in impossible. Remember that. Being here was no smooth ride. There were times where I wanted to give up, but with the help of my best friend Natalie, she helped me get through it."
She took a deep breath and continued.
"I hope each and every one of you live your best life. We've all made it to this point. Live your life to the fullest with no regrets. Good luck y'all."
Everyone cheered and clapped after her speech.
"Now for Natalie."
She came up to the mic.
"As your salutatorian I just want to say that life ain't easy. Getting here to this point wasn't easy at all. It took so much time and effort but hey. We're all here ready to take the next step in our lives. Some of us are going off to college and some are doing what's best for them. To finish everything off, do what makes you happy. As long as it makes you happy. Do it!"
Everyone clapped and cheered.
It was now time for our names to get called so we could receive our diploma.
"Stokeley Goulbourne."
"Sasha Harris."
"Jahseh Onfroy."
"Natalie Vaughn."
We all received our diplomas. It was time to twist our tassels and throw them in the air.
