I felt relieved. Everything was all in the open and I was free to do whatever. It's been nearly a week since Stokes and Jah have been in New York. They're coming back in a few days.
I've been having the best time with Natalie. I've never felt so close before.
On this particular day out we decided to go to the movies to see this new Halloween movie. I was craving popcorn badly so this was great for me. I'm only five weeks pregnant now and I'm eating so much.
We already bought our tickets online so all we had to do was show the people our tickets. The popcorn line was long, but I was willing to wait.
I stood looking ahead of the line when I noticed a tall dark skin boy with red braids that I recognized. It was Miles. I was about to get his attention but I decided to wait until he was done paying for his popcorn.
When he turned around he noticed us.
I saw a smile form on his face. He waved at us because he didn't want to receive a lot of attention because he's a quiet dude. He also waited until we got our things.
"Hey Miles." I said giving Miles and hug from the side while Natalie hugged his other side.
"What movie y'all going to see?" He said.
"That new Halloween movie." Nat said.
"Oh really? That's great cause I'm finna see that too. At least I got people to sit with." He said.
I went to go put butter on my popcorn and he followed behind me. Nat walked into the movie finding us some seats. As I was putting the butter on my popcorn he hovered over me. I'm not even gonna lie. He smelled good.
"Why the face?" He said laughing.
"Oh no reason."
I said it in the calmest face.
"So you gonna let me put butter on my popcorn or you gonna stare at me all day?"
I moved out the way.
He laughed again.
His popcorn was soaked in butter. I don't see how he did it because I would've been throwing up from so much butter.
"Alright let's go to this movie cause it start soon." He said.
We walked in and it was packed. Nat managed to find us some seats at the top. I love top seats. The bottom is so plain and boring to me.
I sat in the middle while Nat and Miles sat on the side of me.
The movie was getting good.
All of a sudden out of nowhere I felt a arm go across my neck. I guess Miles was getting comfortable.
"I hope you don't mind." He said.
"You good." I said smiling.
Nat shot me one of her smirking looks. I raised my eyebrows at her and she shook her head laughing.
*An hour and a half later*
The movie was really long but it was so good. I didn't want to leave the movies. I wanted to keep watching it. When the credits popped up everyone got up but I still sat there. I didn't feel like getting up at all.
"Get ya ass up. The movie over." Nat said.
"Need help?" Miles said.
I gave him my hand and he helped me up. That was sweet of him.
I started having thoughts towards him. Miles wasn't bad at all. Very attractive and sweet. But I have a boyfriend.
Plus Miles doesn't even know that I'm pregnant.
I decided to keep it that way for now cause eventually he's gonna find out.
*Stokes POV*
I was having a good time in New York with my boys. I love making music with them.
I was also drinking a lot. I was on my 3rd bottle of Hennessy. I love that shit. I didn't mean to drink that much but I just got carried away.
Jahseh didn't drink. He was busy working on his raps.
He saw how tipsy I was. He warned me several times about what to do and what not to do because there were a lot of girls with us.
"Stokeley don't do no shit that you know you're gonna regret. If you do I can't save your ass. Chill out." He said.
"I-I won't. W-What makes you think I'm gonna do that?" I stuttered.
"How long I known you nigga? You're bound to do some shit like this. Only this time you're actually in a relationship and your girl is pregnant so don't fuck this up. You got a good one." He said.
I heard him clearly but I was so fucked up I paid no mind to what he said.
The girls I was surrounded by gave me a feeling to do something.
The alcohol was finally starting to get to me.
I didn't want to do anything stupid but I wasn't thinking clearly with all the alcohol in my system.
