This is the life. You thought as you happily flicked another piece of popcorn into the air, opening your mouth to catch it but it never fell down for it was caught before it could start its descend.
You pouted, crossing your arms and glaring unthreatened at the mafia boss from where you laid with head in his lap. He winked at you as he tried your treat himself. "Hey! You don't even like popcorn!" you protested as you pushed the bowl further away on the table to save it from him. "No, and I don't like these stupid zombie movies either, and yet here we are," he motioned towards the tv where the group was arguing over what to do with their bitten member. "It's relaxing, you don't have to think when watching it," you shrugged. Neither of you paid much attention to it anyway, more content to simply be with each other and enjoy some domestic bliss.
Yet he surprised you because he shook his head gently. "I wonder now, what would you do if I was ever infected by a zombie?" he asked, amusement and curiosity evident in his voice. It was hard to concentrate when he ran his fingers through your hair so soothingly. "Mori, darling," you sighed as you looked at him, seemingly deep in thought. "If a zombie bit you, I'd be heartbroken," you sighed deeply and stroked away a non-existent tear before grinning mischievously, "but I'd also shoot you twice in the head." You smirked as you pulled you a finger gun and pressed it to his temple, mouthing a soft 'bang'.
He chuckled, his grip on your hair tightening lightly for a second. "I'm honestly hurt," he teased with a fake pout. You laughed as you nuzzled to him. "Nah, I couldn't do that, not to you," you whispered softly as you kissed his thigh where you were laying. "I would let you bite me and when I turned, we'd be together again," you grinned at him. His look was soft as he leaned down to kiss your forehead, genuine smile gracing his features. "It's a deal then, my beautiful zombie queen," he chuckled as he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear. "We'll see about the beauty part once I'm rotting corpse," you made a face, making him laugh quietly too.
