[Prompt: It meant the world to me and you ruined it.]
It was at times like this you hated your past the most.
It's been two weeks since the ADA fell apart, its members nowhere to be found. Not a single one. Except for you. After all, he didn't need to look for you since he caged you in his safe house beforehand.
The door opened but you didn't even look away from where you were sitting, still staring out of the window, watching the snow fall. You felt him linger by the door for a moment before he sighed and walked over to you. He was so close you felt the warmth that radiated from him.
"Beautiful isn't it?" he said, joining your snowflake-gazing. "Remember when we used to play? Making angels, building snowmen..." he tried again. You felt his amethyst gaze on you yet you refused to speak to him. You knew his patience was wearing thin. But you also knew he wouldn't harm or kill you. Though you wished he did.
He half sighed, half growled. "When will you drop this childish act?" You finally met his eyes and you would swear they widened at the sight of yours, red and puffy from crying. "Once you bring my friends back, I might consider it," you finally spoke. Your voice was hoarse and alien to you.
He sneered and cringed at your words. You realized you were granted a privilege seeing him express his emotions freely. Honestly though, you couldn't care less. "Friends? They were measly sinners, undeserv–" you stood up, making him stop mid-sentence.
"The Agency meant a world to me and you ruined it," you spoke slowly, as icily as he. "You said that about me once too and look – I am still here, unlike them," he stared at you. Due to his height, he towered over you possessively. You shook your head in disbelief.
"People change, Fyodor," you said while you laid a hand on his chest briefly as you passed him. "Go away now, I'm tired."
You waited for him to close the door and fell into your bed. But before the sleep came, you had to fight your mind not to reminisce about long forgotten days spent laughing under the gray Moscow skies.
