Autumn is in the media above <3

I chugged my coffee quickly before walking into work. I spent the whole weekend on and off with Austin. He left for an eight week tour this morning so he insisted on staying up with me at my house until 4 this morning.

"Rough night?" Kristin, our receptionist asked me as I pulled off my sunglasses.

"Sleepless night," I replied nodding. "Any coffee in the break room?"

"Yup, just brewed some. Help yourself. Your first client will be here in about 20 minutes, so pull yourself together girl."

I nodded and walked off to the break room. I poured myself some coffee and added some french vanilla creamer to it. I sipped the hot liquid, hoping that this third cup would help me get through until 3 o'clock.

"Damn girl," I heard Jamie call as she smirked at me. "What did Carlile do to you last night?"

I yawned and sipped more of my coffee. "We just watched movies all night and talked. He didn't leave until 4 and he had to go to the airport."

"I'm glad to see you guys are hitting it off!" She cheered smacking my ass.

"We're just friend," I blushed. "Besides he's going to be gone for the next two months. Who knows what could happened. I don't think I could date someone who is constantly gone all the time." I frowned and walked out of the break room going to my station to set up for my 10 o'clock full foil. I grabbed a stack of towels and made sure I had plenty of foils already folded. I got a clean cape and laid it over the back of the chair. My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I pulled it out.

Austin:

Miss you already 😘

I chuckled to myself before texting back.

Me:

You just miss my dog 💔

I saw my client walk through the door and check in with Kristen. I looked at myself one last time, making sure I looked half decent, before I walked over to greet my client. "Hi Lauren! How are you doing today?"

------

I finally finished Lauren's hair and cleaned up my station. I joined Jamie in the break room and pulled my salad out of the fridge. "Ugh, I really need to go home and sleep." I sighed pulling my phone out of my pocket. "Jesus Christ," I whispered.

Austin:

No I miss you 😩

Okay... maybe I miss Lola more.

Okay I definitely miss Lola more.

I'm bored.

Autumnnnnnnnn.

Me:

Needy much? 😜 I had a client you weirdo, but whatever love Lola more.

"Who ya texting with that big ol smile on your face?" Jamie asked raising her eyebrow.

"Who do you think," I replied rolling my eyes.

"You looooove him," she teased sticking out her tongue.

I shoved a fork full of salad in my mouth and glared at her trying to swallow it. "I've known him for two days dude. I'm not crazy like you. It is nice to actually get attention from someone other than you though!"

She grabbed at her chest and gasped. "That hurt! I have feelings too yanno? I can't believe you're replacing me with a boy."

"I pinky promise that I will never replace you with some boy," I said pouting at her.

"Good." She said kissing my cheek before going to get her next client.

Austin:

How's your day going? I'm sorry for keeping you up so late.

Me:

I think I might leave early if I don't have any more clients. You killed me 😴

I finished my salad, throwing whatever was left into the trash before washing my bowl and fork. I dried it off and stuck it back into my lunch bag. I decided to go to the desk and ask Kristen if I had any other clients.

"You're clear for the day if you want to go home," she said before I even got to the desk.

I thanked her before gathering my stuff and heading home. Sleeping for 20 hours seemed like a great idea.
