CHAPTER THREE; SPOTS' PRANK

BOREDOM, what an odd thing to feel when you're surrounded by endless magic inside of a huge castle, but boredom was often how Kassandra felt. Most of the time, she hardly really used spells, unless they were for class, or pranks. So average everyday things bored her quite a bit, so today she decided to spice it up. She realized she's hardly pranked anyone except for the previous year when her and James made everyone ducks. Right before he had asked her to be his fake girlfriend, and now here they were, actually together.

Smirking, she got up from her spot beside of James. Kissing him on the cheek quickly, before flashing the rest of their friends including her twin, a grin.

"I'll be back soon, guys, okay?"

"Where are you going, kass?" Questioned Sirius and Peter, although peter kind of squeaked his question.

That boy has been acting quite suspicious, but she never questioned it. They were best friends, she'd never imagine anything completely bad out of his actions. She supposed he secretly got himself a girlfriend.

"You'll see at lunch," Kassandra replied, merely smiling.

"Don't be gone forever, yeah, love?" Said James, standing up to kiss her on the forehead, making her blush slightly.

"Course, I'll be back before you know it," she winked.

"Oh, yeah, okay lovebirds, bloody hell," mumbled Sirius, who had been in an awful grumpy mood since dinner last night.

"Cheer up, grumpy," Kassandra muttered, before waving at the boys. "See ya later."

With that, Kassandra exited the common room, and into the direction of the Great Hall. Lunch would be beginning momentarily, and she knew she had to hurry up and act fast. Dark times may be out there, but everyone needed a little laughter, even if it was at the expense of others, mostly just the Slytherins. Her main focus when pranking others, ever since Snape, or Snivellus as James and Sirius call him, called Lily a mudblood.

CONFUSION BLINDED HIM, he wasn't sure why, or when, he even began to have these type of thoughts. It's never been normal for him before. Sirius Black did not do relationships, as it's been stated before. He was usually so happy with his player ways, that he never once thought of anything other than flirting, snogging, shagging, and then leaving girls. It's just what he does. He's not the type to let anyone in, because in all honesty, something Sirius could never see himself admitting out loud, he was bloody terrified of letting people in.

Because his thoughts are dangerous, a silent killer. He's terrified that if he lets someone in, to see the real him, that they'd only get scared and run off. To let someone in, to let them know your fears, your thoughts, your secrets, to let them know you is such a dangerous thing. Because once they have that kind of information, they could leave, and here they would be, knowing everything about you. And all for what? To use it against you? To just run off and act like a stranger when they know everything about you? Yeah, no thanks. Sirius would pass on that, thank you very much.

But that didn't stop him from constantly looking in the direction of Kayla Young. The blonde haired beauty whose in Ravenclaw. The bloody eagle had somehow found her way inside of his mind, and he did not like it. Not even one bit.

"Oi, mate, alright there, pads?" Asked James.

"Yeah, fine," was all Sirius replied, before he continued to walk towards the Great Hall for lunch.

James Potter was his best mate, but he couldn't bring himself to utter out loud the turmoil of thoughts that just wouldn't leave Sirius alone. He trusted James, with his life, but some things were left unsaid. He didn't really want to be mocked for thinking he's finally fell in love with a girl. Woah, wait, love? No, no, no. He did not know where that thought came from, but he definitely didn't fall in love with a girl. Or anyone at all. He doesn't love.

Shaking his head to clear his unwanted thoughts, he walked inside of the Great Hall, and was shocked at what he walked in on. Professors were streaming over towards the Slytherin table, where every single Slytherin appeared to have their hair dyed Scarlet and Gold, Gryffindor colors, and their tongues were growing largely.

Sirius barked out laughter, as this was exactly what he needed to clear his mind from intrusive thoughts. And he bets he knows exactly who had originated that prank. His one and only twin sister, Kassandra. He smirked at the thought, sending Kassie a thumbs up, to which she winked back at him as she was given a detention by Professor McGonagall.

"My girlfriends bloody brilliant, isn't she?" James said, his eyes shining with adoration and love.

Sirius playfully rolled his eyes, "Yes, yes, we know, my sister is a bloody genius."

AMUSEMENT DANCED IN, Remus Lupin's chocolate brown eyes, as he looked over at the Slytherins. The Professor's were still trying to reverse the effects of everything that was placed upon them. He knew he shouldn't find it as amusing as he does, he is the Gryffindor prefect, after all, along with Lily Evans. How he ever became a prefect, he'll never understand. Which then again, he'll never understand why Dumbledore does half the things he does.

Remus is, after all a werewolf, for one, so why Dumbledore even allows him at school, he'll never know. For two, Remus was part of the masterminds that comes up with pranks, although he's skilled at not getting caught as often as the others. Being a prefect does have its privileges, one being that he can take points from bullying Slytherins, but then again, he's quite the hypocrite. He turns a blind eye when James bully's Severus, and perhaps that's wrong, but Remus wanted friends. He wanted to fit in.

"My girlfriends bloody brilliant, isn't she?" James had said, with eyes shining with adoration and love.

Yes, yes she is.

But she's yours.

Remus thought to himself as Sirius replied, "Yes, yes, we know, my sisters a bloody genius."

"She is quite intelligent," Remus said.

Intelligent, beautiful, funny, etc..

His mind wouldn't leave him alone.

"Yes! A mastermind!" Peter supplied, not wanting to be left out.

The four boys took their seat next to Kassandra, after she was given a detention. They all shared a smile. The Marauders would live on to tell their tale, in one way or the other. Either from actually living, or through memories.
