ELEVEN • TEMPORARY AMNESIA
(PART ONE)
Darkness. That's all she could see, as she lay in a state between consciousness and unconsciousness. Her eyes wouldn't open, no matter what she tried to do. She could feel a hand in hers, and a voice that was soothing, but she swears she's never heard it before. She gets the feeling like she should know, but she doesn't, and it bothers her deeply.
"Please wake up, Kass.. we all need you, even Sirius," The strangers voice continuously said, it vaguely sounded like they were crying.
Kassandra's heart clenched, even if she didn't know who it was who was exactly speaking. But the name Sirius, she knew. He was her twin brother, and that was all she could remember. She couldn't remember how she managed to get landed in the hospital, but the smell of sterilization was clear in her nose.
Despite not knowing who's hand that belonged too, she willed herself to move her fingers. After what felt like forever, she finally managed to move them.
"Kass?" The voice whimpered with a hint of disbelief in his tone.
After some coaxing on her part, her eyes finally managed to flutter open. The brightness of the room made her squint her eyes until her they finally adjusted to it. Her eyes then landed on the boy who held her hand. He had messy black hair, glasses, and hazel eyes that glinted with sadness inside of them that managed to make Kassandra's heart clench even if she didn't know him. Or at least she believed she didn't know him.
But before she could even open her mouth to ask who the three boys - who all seemed to have tear stained cheeks - who they were, minus her twin, a woman bustled over to them, and began asking her all sorts of questions. Most of them consisted of what she remembered, and if she knew who anybody was. With a shake of her head, the nurse sighed, before turning to the boys who had worry clear in their eyes.
"It appears like she has temporary Amnesia, dears. I'm afraid I can't tell when her memories will come back," the nurse began. "It May help with telling her stories of your memories together, but the only one she seems to remember is her brother."
After the nurse left, things felt very awkward. But one by one, the boys shared memories with her. Starting off with the boy who had hazel eyes, the ones that seemed to stare into her soul. And despite not knowing him, she felt like she's known him forever.

THE USUAL CONFIDENCE, James Potter used to have were almost completely nonexistent as he looked at Kassandra. His eyes welling up with even more unshed tears. He couldn't help but blame himself for the events that had taken place. If only he didn't tell her that they'd meet up the second half of the hogsmeade trip, he would have been there to protect her. If only he didn't come up with the plan to make Lily Evans Jealous, Kassandra and Sirius would have not fought, and things would have been normal.
No, stop the pity party, Kassandra needs you.
James told himself, as he took a deep breath, and began telling her a memory, one that he had almost forgotten about.
"The memory I'm going to tell you happened in third year," James began, trying to compose himself in order to not cry. "It was after Christmas, and you decided to make a gag gift for all of us, as a prank," james chuckled, pain clear as day in his voice. "You made us all sweaters by knitting them, it probably took you months, Said you got the idea off of Molly Prewitt, you stitched our names into the sweaters, and they were all different colors."
