Chapter 12: Alive

"just lay him on my bed" I said as we all walked in. Peter and Scott carried Derek in and laid him down.

"What do we do?" Lydia asked panicking.

"We need to get Deaton" Peter said and Scott nodded in agreement

"Peter and I will get Deaton you two wait here and see if he wakes up" Scott said and they both ran out of my room.

"who the hell is Deaton?" I asked Lydia.

"He's vet and a druid" She answered.

"well until he gets here we need to take care of him" I said "We need to steal the first aid from downstairs"

"Okay" she said "you go steal it and i'll stay here with Derek"

I nodded and walked out of my room. I basically ran downstairs and walked into the kitchen.

oh fuck.

I saw that almost my entire family was sitting in the kitchen and enjoying their lunch.

"Hey Mel" My mom said "are you and your friend joining us?" 

" No" I quickly replied "she accidentally cut herself on a scissor so I'm just here to grab the first aid kit" 

"oh do you need some help?" My mom asked.

"Nah, I got it" I said and jogged out of the kitchen and ran upstairs.

"Okay do you know anything about this medical stuff?" She asked as I sat down next to her.

"Yeah I know most of it" I replied and opened the kit."the first thing we need to do is disinfect it. first we clean it with water, then put disinfectant on it"

"let's just hope he stays out of conscious when we put the disinfectant on it" I mumbled

"why?"she asked.

"It hurts like hell" 

I got up and ran to my bathroom and got some towels. I putted water on two of them and ran back.

"Not in the wound, only around the edges" I said and showed her how to.

"how do you know all of this?" she asked as she mimicked my actions.

"Madison is blind and because of that she falls allot, so after a while you kind of know what you have to do with a wound" I answered.

"okay done?" I asked after we cleaned the entire wound. she nodded.

"Do you think he'll wake up?"she asked."You know.. from the pain?" 

"maybe... Madison slept through it once, but only once" 

"Melody?" She asked "you know that there is a chance that he'll... turn?" 

"I know" I whispered "but if we don't do it and that Deaton person won't be here on time then he'll die" 

I put some disinfectant on the towel and started putting it on the wound. but as soon as I touched the wound Derek woke up and screamed out in pain.

And turned.

His eyes turned blue and he got claws. He grabbed my arm that I was using and growled at me

"Derek i'm trying to help you" I said softly. It didn't helped he only grabbed my arm harder.

"Derek stop it! you're hurting me!" I yelled. but he didn't listen to me. His claws dug into my skin and I screamed out in pain. 

"DEREK!" Peter yelled. Peter ran over to us and grabbed Derek's arm.
