Chapter 4: Secrets

I busted in derek's apartment totally out of breath because of running. Scott, Stiles and Derek looked at me like I was crazy.

"I ran" I said still out of breath.

"We can see that" Stiles said. I gave him a small smile and laid down on the couch.

"You know there is a bed right there right?" Scott asked.

"To far away" I said still panting "I need to work out more"

"You should" Madison said and sat on my stomach. 

"Yeah and what's your excuse?" I said and tickled her. 

"I'm blind. How would I know what to do?" she said innocently with an evil undertone.

"Overdone" I said and closed my eyes.

"Why didn't peter just gave you a ride?" Derek asked confused.

"We got into a fight" I responded.

"About what?" Stiles asked curiously.

"It was nothing" I quickly said. I heard the door open and peeked through my eyelashes to see who it was. 

Peter.

"Derek" He immediately said " I have to tell you something"

He's not gonna tell them is he?

"something Melody and me needed to tell you earlier" 

he's gonna tell them.

"Peter" I said "Stop talking"

"They need to know" Peter said pointing at Derek, Scott and Stiles.

"No they actually don't" I said and sat stood up. "YOU were the person that wanted to keep it a secret"

"We need help from them!" He yelled. "He has an certain influence on people that I can't take anymore. I just nearly killed you because of it!" 

"You just nearly killed her?" Scott asked confused.

" It was nothing" I said "I'm still alive"

"Melody" Peter said on a 'so dissapointed' tone "Why do you even want to keep it a secret?"

"Well... uh" I said and started playing around with the paper my grandma gave me in my pocket "Nothing, You can tell them" I walked pass him and went for the door. But just before I could reach it Derek grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"You're not leaving" He said to me and then turned his gaze to Peter "and you are gonna tell everything for once"

"How did I forgot to ask you who tortured you? " Derek asked after Peter explained. 

"what I don't understand is why Mitch is still after Melody" Stiles said confused "It doesnt make sense"

"Yeah that's what I thought" Peter said "And when I heard she went to her grandmother I figured that she would now know something that she wanted to share with me. But she doesn't answer my question"

"Well sorry for not answering while you're choking me " I said and rolled my eyes.

"then tell us now" Peter said with an evil smirk.

Oh so that's his plan. He just wants a group to back him up.

"She didn't told me anything" I smoothly lied.

"You're heartbeat changed sweetheart" Peter said and walked over to me "Tell us the truth"

"Nope" I said popping the 'p' and crossed my arms "I made a promise and unlike you I keep mine"

"why did she made you make a promise" Derek asked and also walked over to me.

"She didn't made me do anything" I said and took a step back "It's just a bit complicated"

"but we're your friends" Stiles said sounding insulted. 

"Yeah... I.. I just can't tell you guys okay" I stuttered. Suddenly the room became very hot. I started to feel light headed and took another step back. They are just all standing so close to me.

"I can't breath" I said and ran to the hallway. I tried getting outside but my legs couldn't move anymore and I collapsed against a wall

"Melody?" I heard Derek say. People around us were talking but I couldn't quite hear what they were saying.

"hmm?" I answered and opened my eyes. I saw Derek leaning over me and Peter as well. Scott was on the phone with someone and Stiles was talking to Madison. 

"She's awake" Peter said to Scott and Scott repeated it in to the person that he was calling.

"Melody, Scott's mom will be here soon you just have to relax until then" Derek said on a calming tone.

Okay what do I do when I want to relax? I read a book. But I don't think that I can do that right now. I could take a nap. That's relaxing... Yeah let's take a nap.

I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

But I was awoken by someone saying my name. I opened my eyes and saw Scott's mom. She asked something to Derek and he answered.

"Do you think you are ready to stand up?" She asked on a kind tone. I nodded and tried getting up myself. But Derek helped me. My legs were still a bit shaky but I could stand on my own. and with my own i mean with still Derek's arm around me. As always.

Not that I'm complaining.

"are you ready to tell now?" Peter asked and crossed his arms.

"I have never been less ready to tell you" I said with a wink and laid down on Derek's bed.
