"Do I look okay?" I asked for the 100th time. I looked in the mirror. The red dress I borrowed from my sister was very... tight. It basically showed off everything. But my mom made me do it.  we are going to a fancy restaurant because my mom wants to meet Derek.

"You look beautiful" Derek responded calmly.

"Do you look okay?" I asked and looked at him. he wore a tuxedo which the last time I saw him in was in that weird drug dream when he killed my entire family.

just think happy thoughts.

"Oh I look amazing" He said and kissed me. "Stop worrying. Isn't that supposed to be my job?"

"Not when it comes to you meeting my family, no" I said and kissed him again.

"It will be fine" he replied smiling.

We entered the restaurant and I almost immediately saw my mom and John sitting there.

oh thank god she didn't invite the ENTIRE family

"Hello" My mom said greeting Derek and me "you must be Derek" 

"Nice to meet you misses Lockheart" Derek replied and shook her hand.

"Actually she's misses Williams" John said and also shook Derek's hand "I'm John Williams"

We all sat down after that. I ordered the only vegetarian dish that was available and Derek ordered something with beef.

"So Derek" John said "how old are you?"

"John" I said on a warning tone.

"what? he seems too old for you" He replied.

"No you're old" I said "Don't try to care"

"Melody" my mom said "behave yourself"

"what? why? your're all used to it" I responded and rolled my eyes. I heard Derek chuckle and my mom also rolled her eyes.

"anyway on a... lighter subject" My mom said quickly changing the subject "what do you do for a living?" 

"Nothing at the moment" Derek replied. 

John and Derek talked about the economy and job losses after that. But I didn't really understood.

I should pay more attention in coach's classes.

"I am going to powder my nose" My mom said and stood up "Are you coming too Melody?" 

I was kinda confused but still followed her to the toilets.

"Do you love him?" She asked as soon as we walked in.

"what?" I asked confused

"do you love him?" She repeated. 

"yeah, why?" I responded.

okay Derek and I hadn't really had the 'I love you'  'I love you too'  thing yet but what else was I supposed to answer? no?

"for his money?" she asked

"what? No?!" I yelled.

"then why?" she asked looking confused.

"I like the way he makes me feel when i'm around him." I answered " Like nothing else matters"

She looked very confused.

she never had that feeling before?

"wait mom you never had that feeling before?" I asked her. she looked away.

"Let's go back they're probably wondering where we are" She said and walked out

okay... Well, that happened.

I walked out of the bathroom and sat back down at our table. As soon as I sat back down Derek grabbed my hand and held it . I looked at him and he smiled back at me.

I looked back at my mom and John. John was texting someone and my mom looked at me with a half happy half jealous expression. 

 Dinner flew by, Thank god, It was only 8 o'clock so I asked if I could go to Derek's place for a little bit and they agreed to it. 

I stole Derek's keys and unlocked his door. I walked and wanted to sit on the couch. But before I could even get near the couch Derek pinned me against the wall and started roughly kissing me. 

 I was a it taken back at first because I didn't expected it but I kissed him back. I fell his hand slighting down my chest and got to the bottom of my dress. I quickly grabbed his hands and put them back at my waist. 

Derek stopped kissing me and pouted. I still looked at him with my 'not gonna happen dude' face and he pulled away. He did grab my hand and guided me to his couch. I wanted to just sit down next to him but he put me on his lap. His face was only inches away from mine.

"I heard what you said to your mom in the bathroom " Derek said looking into my eyes 

"I hate your werewolf hearing" I mumbled. He laughed  but his face turned back to serious very fast.

"I love you" He said. I smiled at him and kissed him softly on his lips.

"I love you too" I said and rested my head on his chest. But our peaceful moment was disturbed by his phone going off. I grabbed his phone and looked on the screen.

Lydia is calling.

 I looked at the clock and saw that it was already 10.

"babe?" I said "Why is Lydia calling you at 10 o'clock?" 

"I don't know" He responded "But it's never a good sign" 

He decided to answer the call and I looked at his facial expression. It changed from curious to surprised to sad.

"what happened?" I asked as soon as he hung up.

"Lydia found Cerise's body" He answered.

"her... Body?" I said hoping I misunderstood

"Cerise is dead" He said.
