Thunder (Derek Hale/ Teen wolf)

Chapter 14: Home

The whole church was quiet. Nobody spoke a word or moved a muscle. I stared at Derek in disbelieve. And he stared back at me. He didn't even bother looking at the rest of Anthony's remaining pack. He stared at me. And I felt scared. Of course I'm scared, I mean he just ripped someone's heart out and all he does now is look at me. 

"Derek" Robert said breaking the silence "Perhaps we could talk in private" Derek broke the staring competition we were doing and looked at Robert.

"There is no need to" He said calmly "The remaining pack members of Anthony's pack can either promise their loyalty to Robert or leave. Now you need to keep your part of the deal,  pack up and leave "

"Of course" Robert said. Derek dropped Anthony's heart and walked out of the church. I felt Peter's hand on my shoulder also guiding me out. 

When we got outside the sun was already going down. I saw Madison and Scott standing across the street. Their part was only in the last pieces of the plan. Scott most likely heard everything but Madison looked confused.

"What happened" she asked innocently. But I didn't pay attention to her. I saw that Derek already reached his car and turned around. His eyes met mine and he looked just as confused and scared as I was. 

"i'll be right back" I mumbled and started jogging to Derek. When I reached him I saw that he was on the verge of a mental breakdown. He pounded his fist on the top of the car and let out a growl. 

I slowly wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. He kept avoiding my gaze and looked down. 

"Derek" I whispered. He looked in my eyes and all I could see in his was confusion. "everything will be fine. It will be harder but we'll be fine"

"It will be allot harder" He answered and pulled me into a hug

"But we'll manage to do it" I said and looked in his eyes "Okay? We're gonna rock this Alfa thing"

He chuckled and gave me a small kiss on my lips. "Thanks" He said.

"For what?" I asked confused.

"Being alive" He said and gave me another kiss. We stayed like that for a while. I rested my head on his chest and focused on his breathing. I saw that Derek turned his head.

"They left" He said laughing. I followed his gaze and saw that everyone was jammed into Stiles's car and they drove off. I laughed as well at the sight and saw a little girl skipping in out direction. It was Madison. She got close to us and Derek picked her up. she squealed happily and wrapped her small arms around his neck.

"Ready to go home?" Derek asked and sat Madison down in the backseat.

"Yeah" I said smiling "Let's go home"
