Melanie POV
‘Before we talk…’ Harry started, his fingers intertwined with mine and his eyes focused on my eyes. ‘I want to take you somewhere.’ I looked at him in surprise. ‘If you let me of course…’ He was so aware of what I would want. He looked uncertain about what my reaction might be. But how could he? And how could I refuse his offer?
‘Yeah, okay.’ I smiled. I didn’t want to sound too excited, although I really was. I followed him out of the room, stepping through the hallway.
‘Oh. Hi, Melanie!’ Louis smiled brightly when we walked past him in the corridor of the hotel. And that made Harry stop in his tracks and look at his band member full of confusion.
‘You knew?’ Harry breathed out. And I figured I had a couple of things to explain to him. For example my little phone call with Niall.
‘Maybe… yes.’ Louis padded Harry’s back and walked past us. ‘Have fun wherever you’re going. And Melanie?’ He waited for a couple of seconds. ‘Good to have you back!’ He winked before he turned around and entered his own room.
‘Good to see you again too, Louis.’ I giggled. Harry’s eyes met mine and they were still not sure about what was happening here. ‘I’ll tell you later, Haz.’ I assured him, and his eyes lit up by hearing his nickname. He gave me a short nod, before he started walking again to our way out. He chose for the back entrance and when we stepped outside, I immediately noticed Harry’s motorcycle standing there. ‘You take that thing with you everywhere you go?’ I asked him.
‘No, not everywhere. But as long as we’re in the UK, I like to use it.’ He said while he handed me my helmet and jacket. ‘You know what to do. Just h-…’
‘Just hold on to you tightly. I know! I wouldn’t do it any other way…’ I filled him in, what made him smile.
‘That’s my girl!’ He kissed my lips shortly before I put my helmet over my head. His girl. Harry’s girl. I liked the way that sounded.
When we drove off and my arms were wrapped around Harry’s chest, it felt like I had never been more complete than this. I loved the wind in my hair. I loved breathing in Harry’s scent. And I was so excited for being here with him. The boys just performed in Liverpool, where we were, and I forgot how beautiful the city really was. I didn’t know if Harry planned to do this, but he literally chose the most beautiful road to wherever he was going. I soon noticed him driving to the beach. And when he stopped his motorcycle in a place where literally no soul was seen, I understood why he chose this place. We already could see the sun set. It was around 9 pm, and the sky had a beautiful red, orange tone to it, while the sun was slowly falling into the sea.
‘I come here with the boys sometimes when we’re here to do a show. It’s like a private spot. Nobody comes here so that’s awesome considering we are… Uhm… well known.’
'Famous. You are famous, Harry. You can say it!' I chuckled.
'No! No… God… I hate that word.’ He spat and his facial expression that went along with it was hilarious.
‘Well, you are though.’ I filled him in.
‘Unfortunately, yes.’ He muttered when he took the helmet and the jacket from me and hid it in his motorcycle. He led me to the beach and it was absolutely beautiful. We were lucky it was a somewhat warm day. Not too hot, but definitely not too cold either. ‘If I wasn’t famous like this, I would’ve never send you away like that… You know.’ This was it probably. This was the moment we would talk about what happened.
‘If you were not famous, we would never have met, Harry. You wouldn’t even be able to send me away.’ I corrected him.
‘Maybe that would’ve been better, yes.’
