Third Person's POV
"But Niall, why can't you love me today?"
"I will only ever love you as long as skies are blue."
"That means only mornings and sunny days, which happens miraculously in London."
"Too bad then."
Harry was one of these people who loved night skies, he would sit on his terrace and stare at the beautiful nothingness that was stretched into what one could call eternity. He also happened to like the rain. When it rained and the clear droplets hit his window and went down simultaneously like tears, he would smile emptily and trace them with his finger. Well he used to love all of that until he met Niall. The blonde had him hooked on his charm like a drug-addict was to cocaine.
It wasn't all that cliché shit that Niall made him all cheery and happy, well he did, but like, Niall made him hate all of that because he only loved him when the skies were clear blue and the scorchingly hot sun shone ablaze in the center of the blue vastness, when there was no rain. It sounded weird, retarded even, but that didn't matter to Harry. What really mattered was how his heart would fracture a little whenever the faux blonde would just get up and leave, or would suddenly pull from his embrace, stop his 'I love you' whenever it so much as drizzled.
It was one of those rare days where the temperature and climate were just like Harry had been praying for, the Niall-like time. While he waited for his boyfriend to show up, he sat down to think of everything. Why does Niall do this to him, why doesn't he stay with him at all times just like normal couples do? Isn't he worth it, or what if Niall is seeing someone else when he isn't with him? He would longingly look at him whenever he would have to leave, pleading him with his eyes, and well his entire being, not to go, not to leave him alone. Unbeknownst to Niall, Harry suffers from mild depression, but lately it has been escalating to something bigger, stonger, and more destructive. Harry would think about ending it all with Niall, but then he would also notice how whenever he was allowed a sip of his love, he'd feel like he rules the world, like nothing could break him; but Niall. Niall was the only one who could break him because he's the one who leaves him more than he stays with him. Harry even wanted to move somewhere with him where the sky never changed to some color other than blue, and where rain was a rarity rather than a normality.
Knocked out of his thoughts, well by a knock, Harry went to get the door, and much to his relief, Niall was there.
"Hi, Niall."
"Hello, Harry."
"How have you been, darling?" Harry questioned as relaxation slowly over took his features, Niall was there.
"I've been okay, I missed you." Niall confessed as he slowly wrapped his arms around Harry's thinning waist, he slightly frowned at that.
"Well, we haven't seen each other for a week now, the weather wasn't like how you like it." Harry didn't want to say any of that, but he just couldn't help it. Niall only nodded in response.
"I love you."
"I love you too Niall." Harry wanted to say so much more than that. He wanted to fall to his knees and beg Niall not to leave him again. He wanted to tell him how he's falling into severe depression, and that he needed him so that he wouldn't lose himself, but he stopped at that.
"So what have you been up to lately?" Niall questioned.
"Nothing much really. You?" Harry bit back the words ' just depressed' and opted for nothingness instead.
"Oh! I had a rather rad week! Zayn and I had a little camping trip and it was absolutely wonderful. You had to see Zayn's face when we were sitting on logs around the oh so important fire, in our boxers mind you because Zayn thought it would be a great idea to jump into the water with our clothes on and we were stuck with our spare boxers as a result to that, when he got up suddenly and a string of his briefs was caught in a misplaced branch and it literally ripped his boxers off of him. Oh my god, highlight of my week." Niall's face was red from laughter while Harry, subconsciously, watched him, bemused.
"I'm sure it was fun." Harry snapped, and Niall's chuckles immediately died down.
"What's your problem Harry?"
"Nothing."
"Don't give me that bull, clearly something must be wrong because you were okay a few minutes ago." That set Harry off, he exploded.
"I was never okay! You're almost never there, and while I was fucking breaking without you, but there you are, camping with Zayn. But to come and check on your depressed-ass boyfriend, no! Of course not, why would you? The sky isn't fucking blue."
"Depressed?"
"Yes, Niall depressed. I had mild depression, and now, it's become a full on case. You fucked me up. Doesn't it hurt you when you leave me, don't you feel like curling up in a corner and crying your breaking heart out? Don't you wish that you'd be worth staying all time for, oh wait, that's how I feel." Harry was livid, truly mad.
"Who loves someone according to the weather climate, and of London, it's like the most unstable one ever. I want to sleep cuddled up in your arms, but I can't, it's not your cup of tea."
Niall looked shocked to say the least, appalled.
"You always leave me when I need you the most. When you're here, I feel like I have the world at my feet, like nothing can break me; when you leave, it's like I was kicked to the down under, like I'm nothing. Why, Niall? Why do you do this? WHY?" Harry screamed the last bit.
"I don't know." Niall whispered.
"Bullshit!"
"When nighttime comes, you have a major mood shift that scares me. You become so quiet and isolated, it hurts me to see you like this. When it rains, you become stoic, your eyes just remain fixated on the window, and you forget about me."
"You fucking asshole! And you just leave me to deal with it alone?! Don't you love me enough to stick around and help me through it? Am I not worth your precious time, in case you haven't noticed, I hate night and rain now, I abhor them, and it's all because of you!"
"Harry I-" Niall stopped mid sentence as thunder clapped and rain fell.
"If you walk out of this damn door Niall Horan, we're over." Harry prayed with all his being that Niall would stay because if he left him, he's sure he'll officially shatter.
"I-I'm sorry Harry, I can't, I just can't."
"But, why?" Harry asked ever so brokenly.
"Your depression hurts me, Harry." And with that, Niall walked out of the door, and out of Harry's life, forever.
