I wake up two days after Christmas to a text from Lucas Robert Hemmings.

Luke: Want to go on a date?

I sit there shocked by the question. Eliza, you've known each other for four months and you both like each other, it's been long enough.

Me: Sure!

Luke: Movie marathon?

Me: I can't think of anything better!

Luke: I'll get the snacks ready!

Me: I'll be there in five.

Luke texted me his adress and I quickly got dressed in sweats. I look at my night stand and put on my new bracelet Luke got me.

I ring the doorbell and Luke greets me inside.

"Welcome to my humble home!"

"Well thanks for having me." I said taking my boots off.

We sit next to each other and watch movies with popcorn and candy.

"You're wearing your bracelet." Luke said smiling like it gave him the best feeling in the world.

"I love it. I can't take it off. Thank you again."

"Your welcome."

After watching three movies Luke looks over to me and asks, "Have you been practicing Hero/Heroine?"

"Maybe."

He runs upstairs and back down with his guitar. "Know anything else?"

"Be Okay by: Oh Honey."

I'm wide awake, so what's the point of dreaming when your life is great?

Celebrate the feeling, celebrate the feeling.

Can't complain about much these days, I believe we'll be okay.

Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh.

Can't complain about much these days, I believe we'll be okay.

Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh.

We're screaming out, I believe we'll be okay.

Sun kissed skin on my lips.

Thank the Lord I am here and now, here and now.

Fireflies after dark.

Bless your soul, we are here and now, here and now.

We'll be okay.

We'll be okay.

I look at Luke and then at the guitar. "I know I suck at singing, but I would do it with my dad."

Luke smiles and says, "No, I love your voice."

We both lean in closer, closer until we finally are kissing.

Luke holds my check and guides me.

When we break he smiles and says, "I've been waiting to do that for four months."
