It was 9 in the evening and I was sitting on my bedroom floor when my phone buzzed because I recieved a text message. It's an unknown number. Odd? I don't remember giving anyone my number.
Unkown Number: Hi. :)
Me: Who you?
Unknown Number: My name's Christian. Jane gave me your number. :)
Christian? I don't know anyone named Christian. But I do know Jane. She's one of my friends studying at my ex-boyfriend's school.
Oh my ex, Marcus.
You see, Marcus and I used to be together and I mean TOGETHER. Every day we would see each other before we would go to school. Yes, we don't go to the same school. Like talk about how can we miss each other when we would see each other ten hours a day for five days a week? You might think that I don't want him to see me so I wouldn't get caught if I was flirting with someone else but no, I'm no flirt and I love Marcus, well used to love Marcus. Like I said, we would see each other before going seperate ways to go to school and sometimes I would go to their school after all my classes just to watch him practice. Marcus is a basketball player, that's actualy how we met.
I was watching the game of my bestfriend Joseph from Royal Dale High , and his team was playing against Haleon High which was Marcus' team. At first I didn't even notice him but when he accidentaly missed the ball his team mate was passing him and the ball hit me instead, he saw me and looked at me with his big brown eyes and he smiled at me apologeticaly. Marcus' team won. After the game, I went outside and waited for Joseph and to my surprise Marcus was standing outside. At first he didn't see me because he was texting but then he looked up and saw me. I smiled at him and he smiled back and walked toward me.
"Hey. Sorry about the ball earlier," he said and he smiled at me.
"Oh. It's okay. No harm done," I told him.
"Well, my name is Marco, what's your name?" he asked.
"Serraphine, but you can call me Sera," I smiled at him.
He smiled back and said, "Well Sera, can I have your number?"
I nodded and he passed me his phone so I can type my number.
"Thanks Sera. I'll text you later," his smile got bigger.
That's when I noticed how cute he is when he smiles.
Oh. His smile. It's been 4 months since we broke up and I miss his smile when we were together. I was remembering how he asked me to be his girlfriend and kissed me after I said yes when my phone buzzed again, pulling me away from the thought of Marcus' lips on mine.
Unknown Number: Hey, Serraphine? :)
It's from Christian again.
Me: I'm sorry but I don't know you.
It was kinda impolite but who can blame me? Im being honest.
Christian: That's what I thought. I'm a friend of Jane and I play ball with Marcus. :)
Me: Oh? Okay?
Christian: Yeah. Is it okay if I'm texting you?
I was mentally cursing myself because there is no way It was okay for a friend of my ex to text me. But I still texted him and said,
Me: Yeah. It's fine with me.
