"There's gonna be a bunch of people at our house, you know."
"What makes you say that?"
I looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. "Because I'm smart enough to figure it out."
"True." Ryan laughed.
We pulled into the driveway and stepped out of the car.
"At least try and look surprised." He told me before opening the door.
We stepped iniside, and who was right?
I looked over at Ryan and gave him a knowing smirk. He rolled his eyes at me.
"Welcome home, you two! It's been so quiet around here without you!" my mom smiled, hugging us around our shoulders.
I laughed. "Hey, mom."
I looked around the house to see everyone there. Mostly family and friends. My mom's friends, I mean. Ryan doesn't have any friends that aren't my age. Sounds harsh, but have I talked about Ryan's friends, other than Alex? Nope.
"Macy!" A familiar voice called, and I spun around to see Taylor.
I hugged her and she started blabbing on about how she missed me and how her other half was gone for too long, blah blah blah. If I sound rude, keep in mind that you've never actually met Taylor. And if you did, you'd probably end up taping her mouth shut.
"So, what have you been doing lately?" I asked.
"Not much. I haven'd done most anything since you left." She laughed.
"Here's an idea; make some more friends!" I smirked.
"You know how irritating i am." she smiled.
I was about to say something, but cut myself off when Greyson walked up to us.
"Hey, Mace." He said awkwardly.
"Greyson." I answered, not looking at him.
"How've you been?" He asked.
"Decent."
"Sounds fun."
"Yup."
"Would you stop with the one-word answers?" He sighed.
I looked up at him, opening my mouth to say something, then spun around and walked up the stairs to my room.
Closing the door, I shook my hands in nervousness and paced across the floor.
"Macy, you okay?" Taylor asked, stepping in.
"I... I don't know." I shook my head.
"What's up?" She asked.
"What do you do when you thought you could trust someone, but you end up questioning weather or not they deserve trust?" I asked.
"Oh..." She said. "I didn't think you knew."
"Knew what?" I asked.
"Macy, I'm so sorry." She looked straight at me.
"About what?" I tilted my head in confusion.
"I knew he was your boyfriend, and I didn't mean to, it just... happened, and i didn't do anything about it..."
"Taylor, what are you talking about?" I was starting to get little worried about what was going to come out of her moth. I grabbed her shoulders and stared into her eyes. Tell me the truth.
"Cody was cheating on you. And... With me."
I let my arms drop and just stared at her. Fear filled her eyes and she bit her lip.
"What?" I whispered.
"You didn't know?" She asked.
"You. Were. Cheating. With. My. Boyfriend." I said, trying to keep my anger from rising.
She swallowed hard and nodded.
"For how long?" I asked, as calmly as I possibly could.
"Like, 3 months."
"Please tell me you're kidding." I spat under my breath.
She shook her head. "I just-"
She stopped talking when I landed a fist straight on her nose.
"Ow!!" She yelled.
"What the hell were you thinking!?" I screamed in her face.
"I think you just broke my nose!" She cried.
"Cheating with my boyfriend!" I went on.
"Oh, God, it's bleeding." She pinched the top of her nose and leaned her head back.
"Stay here." I hissed, walking out of my room and down the stairs.
He better be here.
I caught sight of Cody's messy blonde hair and walked over to him, grabbing his arm and dragging him across the house towards the stairs.
"What thehell, Macy?" He asked.
"Get in." I said, throwing him into my room. "Explain yourselves."
Cody looked at Taylor and she shrugged with an innocent smile.
"How did you..." Cody started.
"She told me." I said, pointing at her.
"Ew, Taylor, your nose is bleeding." Cody grimaced and took a step away from her.
"Thanks for your loving care." She shot back at him. "Can I please go get a tissue before I bleed all over your floor?"
"No. It should be about done anyway. Neither of you are leaving until you tell me exactly what happened." I crossed my arms.
"Well, I was-" Cody started.
I cut him off by slapping him on the cheek. Hard.
"What the hell!?" He yelled at me, holding his face.
"That's for being a dick!" I replied in the same tone.
"That really hurt!" He whimpered.
"Suck it up." I rolled my eyes. "Now, what-"
"Macy?" Greyson asked from the doorway.
"NO!" I screamed at him.
"But I just-"
"NO!" I slammed the door shut and locked it. "Now, explain."
"Well, it was about 3 months before you two broke up, and don't hit me again," She said when I clenched my fist, "And, I don't know."
"So, what, you knew your best friend was dating him, and you went on with it anyway?" i asked.
"No, we broke up a while before you left!" Cody interrupted.
"That doesn't make it any better!" I shot at him.
"I'm sorry, Mace." Taylor said.
"Look, I really don't give a shit the Cody cheated on me. Because, yes, i know, I did it, too. What I'm really mad about is the fact that when I did it, you made me feel like complete shit, to the point where I actually had to leave the state! "I yelled.
"I didn't-" Cody started.
"You wrote a fucking song about it." I crossed my arms at him.
He sank back on his heels and dug his hands in his pockets.
"I'm sorry." Taylor repeated. Hey, at least she was making an effort.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes, walking out the door and back down the stairs.
