The next few days, I only spoke to Greyson. He was at my house majority of the time, and Cody was doing whatever Cody does. Getting 7383791 dates with girls he'll never talk to again. I don't care. I'm trying to get over him.

A few days passed and before I knew it, it'd been two weeks since i'd spoken to Cody.

On the one odd day where Greyson wasn't at my house, Cody decided it would be a good day to call. That's always fun.

"Hello?" I answered, unusually cheerful that day of all days.

"Hey Mace. Do you want to do something later? It's been so long since I've seen you."

There's a reason for that.

"I know, seems like forever."

"Do you want to?"

No.

"Sure, I'd love to."

"Great. I'll plan something and pick you up at around 5?"

Please don't.

"Sounds good. Bye, Cody."

"Wait, before you go..."

What do you want now?

"What?"

"Is there... Something going on between you and Greyson?"

WHAT!?

"No! Why would you think that?"

"Well, you've been together so much lately, it just kind of seemed..."

You're fucking insane.

"No, Cody, there's nothing going on with me and Greyson. All this Mason stuff is getting to your head."

"Okay! See you tonight, Macy."

Please, no. Bloody hell, no.

"Yeah. Bye Cody."

I groaned and fell backwards on my bed, landing on my back an shoving a pillow on my face. Why me!?

****

"Ready to go?" Cody smiled when I opened the door.

I swallowed all my frustration and forced myself to smile back. "Course. Let's go."

His mom dropped us off at some place I didn't recognize, but Cody said he's here all the time, so I went with it.

"Here we are. Come on in." Cody smiled, holding the door open for me.

I stepped in, trying to hide my stupid smile, and walked to the counter.

"So, what is this place?" I asked, looking around.

"Go karts." he smirked.

"You want to challenge me to go karts?" I asked.

"You bet I do. But just to warn you," he said, taking a helmet off the counter when the man set it there for him, "I've never lost a go kart race."

"We'll see about that." I replied cockily, taking my helmet off the counter, "Just don't be sad when you lose to a girl."

"Oh, that's it. You're on." he said.

"Wait, if you're so determined that you're gonna win, let's make this more interesting." I smirked.

"This should be good." he scoffed.

"If I win, you have to..." I looked around for inspiration. I didn't want to tell him that I've had my fill of go karting, not that he'd back down or anything. He's way too cocky to even think about doing that. "You have to go on ustream and express your love for me."

"Okay, but if I win, you have to go out with me again on Saturday." he smiled sweetly.

"Cody... Did you just ask me out?" I asked.

He went back to his cocky smirk. "Only if I win."

****

"Maybe you should think before you make a bet against the master of go karts." Cody laughed as he handed his helmet back to the man.

"Is that your official title now?" I asked.

"That's not the point. I won and you lost." he said.

"Oh shit, you won, now you have to take me out for a whole Saturday night." I sighed sarcastically.

"Hey, wait a minute." he stopped.

"What?" I laughed.

"You let me win, didn't you?" he asked.

"You can't prove that." I raised my eyebrows and smirked.

"That's it, I want a rematch!" he demanded.

"But you won." I blinked.

"Not fairly." he crossed his arms.

"Fine. You can have your rematch saturday." I sighed, shaking my head. "Now let's go, I'm tired from all that losing."

He just rolled his eyes and led me out of the building.

****

"Wait, so he asked you out?"

"Yeah!" I beamed.

"Seriously?"

"Yes, Greyson! I was there!" I laughed.

"Wow, sure took him long enough." he smiled.

"Shut up. At least he did. And besides, I'd given up on him. He did it just at the right time, because if he'd done it any later I'd have completely distanced myself from him. I was trying to, and then he called and invited me out. To think I almost said no, too." I sighed.

"Yeah." he said quietly. "Good riddance."

It was silent for a minute, until he stood up.

"Look, I have to go. I'll talk to you later, though." he smiled.

"Yeah, course. See you, grey."

He laughed. "Bye, Mace."

*~*~*

So it's a little short... Sorry, guys.

Anyway... CODY ASKED HER OUT

Took him damn long enough.

Shh... You hear that?

That's the sound of drama coming.

It's getting closer, people.

Just wait for it.
