I know what it's like to be afraid of your own mind.

-Spencer Reid.

"Megan?"

"What?" She asked through the pillow.

"What was that all about?" I asked.

"Nothing. He's an ass."

"He's never been an ass before."

"Well, he is now."

"What made him an ass?" I sat on the bed by her feet.

"He just is."

"Megan..."

"Go talk to him yourself, Macy!" She snapped.

I raised an eyebrow and stood up, deciding to take her up on her offer.

I walked down the stairs to Michael's room.

"Knock, knock." I said, opening the door and leaning against the door frame.

"Get-" He started, looking up from the drawer he was placing his clothes in. His face softened when he saw me. "Oh, sorry, Mace. I thought you were Megan."

"Yeah, about that..." I started, walking into the room and sitting on the bed as he continued placing clothes in drawers. "What happened that made you two hate each other so much?"

"She's rediculous and unreasonable, that's what." He spat, not looking at me.

"Why? What happened?"

"She likes me."

"So, what's so bad about that?" I asked.

"I have a girlfriend."

"Oh... But Megan wouldn't get mad at something like that." I tilted my head confusedly.

"I got mad at her first." He admitted.

"Mike!" I yelled.

"Well, she had damn good timing to tell me!" He spun around to look at me.

"What do you mean?"

"Me and Alyssa, my girlfriend, had our 2-month anniversary last week."

"Michael, you've liked Megan for as long as you can remember." I pointed out.

He groaned, running a hand through his hair and pacing across the floor. "I know that. But she doesn't. And neither does Alyssa, and I thought... I thought i was over her! I told myself I was over her, I like Alyssa!" He was yelling now, pulling furiously on his hair.

"Mike! Stop it!" I stood up, grabbing him by the wrists and stopping him from pacing.

He looked down at his feet. "I flipped on her. I rejected her in the worst way i possibly could and now she hates me, and I have no idea what to do."

I hugged him around his waist. He didn't return it, but i didn't expect him to.

When i let go, he bit his lip. "I don't know what to do."

"Well, I can't answer that. You have to decide that for yourself." I shrugged, stepping out into he hallway.

"Macy?" He asked.

I turned around. "Yeah?"

"Don't tell her, okay? Knowing I like her could piss her off even more."

"I won't."

"Promise?" He whispered.

I laughed a little and nodded. "Promise."

****

"And so your answer would be 30 pi over 2."

"Wow."

"What?"

"You solved that in... One minute and 3 seconds."

"You timed me?"

He shrugged. "I wanted to see how long it would take."

I picked up a pillow and smacked him with it. "Okay, next question."

"Can we take a break?" He groaned.

"We've been working for 10 minutes."

"And you've solved 18 equations."

I laughed and looked down.

"So, hows your life been?"

"Fine. I'm dating this cute guy named Jordan Simpson, do you know him?" I smirked.

He shrugged. "Doesn't ring a bell."

I smacked him in the shoulder and he laughed.

He closed his textbook and threw it to the end of the bed, sitting up and pulling out his phone.

"Here, smile!" He held it up, kising me on the cheek and taking a picture.

"Cute." I laughed, taking it out of his hands and adding a caption.

He paid me 7 dollars to take this picture with him

-Macy

"Cute." He mocked me as he took his phone back.

I started bouncing on his bed and he smacked me lightly in the stomach.

I smacked him back and he grabbed my wrists, pinning me down and smirking. "Don't wage a war you can't win, Black."

"Oh, I'm so scared." I said in a mocking voice.

He leaned down and kissed me, and i felt him smile.

"Oh, come on!"

Jordan sat up and looked at where the voice came from.

"Is that all you two ever do?" Shane, Jordan's 11-year-old brother, scoffed from the doorway.

"'Sup Shane?" Jordan laughed.

"Did you hide my XBox controller?" He crossed his arms.

"Why would I?" Jordan asked, putting an arm around my shoulder.

Shane rolled his eyes at the sight. "I can't find it."

"And that means i stole it?"

"It does every other time." Shane shrugged.

"I didn't take it, okay? Ask Erika." Jordan suggested.

Shane rolled his eyes and walked away.

Jordan laughed, kissing me again, but pulling away after Shane started yelling at his 9-year-old sister.

He groaned and stood up. "I'll be right back."

I shook my head and smiled. What a family.
