Aecha's P.O.V.
And I was back to my little home with my mom, funny enough."How did you like Canada baby?" She asked making me something I hadn't eaten in years. Chicken pie.
It had been ages.. She would always make some during fall, just like apple pie. The aromas in my place made me droll, the dogs to.
"I only saw Hamilton and Niagara falls, but it was nice. The weather is pretty much like here. Also.. People you know.. They look like me. It was the shock when I got out of the plane. It's weird to say, but I'm used to find Hobi through a mass of people of Asian origins.. He said he had trouble seeing me because he wasn't used not to have me stand out. He kinda got in my shoes for a second." I explained.
"Do you think I made the right choice honey? Moving to Korea. I did it for my job and I didn't think about you.." She said putting the pie in the oven.
I frowned in confusion. "You said you had moved to Korea years before I was born."
Tears fell on the counter. I handed her a tissue. "Oh my gosh. You're crying! I've never seen that. Please don't cry!"She smiled. "Your dad and I moved here when I was 3 months pregnant baby. I thought you'd just fit in.. The more you grew up, the more I saw I was wrong."
I held her hand. "Mom. Maybe I didn't fit in, but it's a good thing. It makes me who I am. Sure it made some things difficult, but look where I am now.. I'm just fine am I not?"
"I just wish I could've made it easier for you." She finished drying her tears.
"And you did mom. Come on, let's open up that bottle of wine and drink some while we wait for that meal to be ready." I hugged her before heading for the fridge.
She laughed. "Daughter like mother huh?
I shared hers. "Apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it?" I remembered something. "Did you know the guys are gonna talk to the United Nations? Well.. Namjoon is, but you get what I mean."
"I didn't!" She said, her previous worry past. "It's amazing sweetie!" It helped that we had taken our first glass of wine. "Oh! How's the little one? Your friend's girl."
"Aki? Ah! You should see how big she got since you last saw her! She just started school too. Jookhyun sent me some pics and she is so adorable." I explained showing the said pictures.
Her eyes were sparkling. "You sound like me when I was talking to my colleagues about the tiny little talented you."
"What?" I got out of my wine bubble.
"Yeah! Honestly if I didn't know, I'd think the kid was yours." She admitted twirling the red liquid into her glass.
I took the bottle and put it back in the fridge. "You had enough of that."
"You don't hear yourself Aecha. Besides, she does act like you." She added.
"Because I took care of her a lot." I defended.
"Honey, she has a mother. Let her do her job." She continued.
"Aki's mother is very busy and she asked me for help. I couldn't say no." I kept defending my point.
"Aecha baby.. I'm not trying to criticize how you act with her. It's sweet, but remember she is not yours. You don't have to always say yes. You don't have to shower her with activities and gifts." My mom tried wining me back.
"It's okay mom.. I know you didn't mean any bad.." I sighed taking the pie out of the oven. "I guess I'm so fond of her because I saw her grow up and I am still and she's a little dancer.."
