Aecha's P.O.V.
On that first day, we had learned that Mr.Wan knew what he had done, showed no guilt, but knew he was guilty of a crime. I wouldn't bother say more of what happened except PD-nim's attempt of sympathy."I read your e-mail. Aecha I'm very sorry." He told me.
I moved back. "Don't act like you are sir. I'll be back to work next week during the days out of Court."
"I was angry because of business." He tried.
"Your Idols' happiness, relationships and family should be important to you, before business." I said before heading to my car.
"Aecha. I want to renegotiate your contract to help that." He said.
I surely didn't believe him. "You want to buy my trust. Money isn't a factor that influences me sir.. Have a good day."
Well.. That was something. "What did he talk about?" Hobi asked starting the car.
"Trying to act like he felt bad for our loss. He even wants to buy his way with me." I sighed sinking in my seat.
"You know.. Maybe it isn't all related Jagi. Meet with him tomorrow. We don't have to come back here until 1pm tomorrow. See what he wants. I can come if you want." He tried to make me go.
And he succeeded. "I'll go alone.. See what he wants. I'll call during if he wants to tell you too."
I did go the next day, after calling the boys. "Hey, how about we all have dinner at my place tonight?"
Jin agreed. "Sounds good! We really miss you kimchi. Seriously we buy some at the store and Jimin argues that it doesn't taste as good."
I laughed. "That sounds like him. Don't worry, there's plenty here. See ya tomorrow."
Now my boss.."So you did decide to show up. I'm glad." He smiled. I had rarely seen that. "Take a seat."
I sat in front of his desk. "Sir, first I wanted to apologize for the way I spoke to you yesterday. I-"
He stopped me. "And I chose a very bad time as well. The apology is mine to make. Also, I'm assuring you I'm not trying to buy your trust."
I frowned. "Then why modify my contract?"
"I've been called by more than one company who wanted to sign with you Aecha. Offering way more than what I'm giving you, but since you haven't spoken to me about it, I believe you'd like to stay here."
I did get a lot of e-mails and calls.. "I simply wanted to speak with you first and.. As a matter of fact, I don't plan on moving permanently out of Big Hit."
"I'm willing to offer you more, to accept offers of these companies and even shows." He said.
There had to be a catch. "What's in it for you? You share my knowledge and expertise to the competitor."
That's when he crossed his arms. "I want percentage of that money they'll give you and I want the last word on which contract you do."
Money and a bit of control? "That's it?"
"Call Hoseok if you want." He proposed.
He had read my mind. I called him. "Angel, what's up?"
"It's for my contract." I explained.
"Tell me." He said happiness in his voice.
"A raise.. More liberty with my schedule.. Contracts with other companies.." I started. "In exchange for a percentage of the money I'll make on these contracts and he gets a say in them."
"Like an artist without the actual pay worth?" He asked.
That.. I hadn't think about. "I guess so."
"You'll manage your schedule on your own?" He questioned.
"No.. He'll make it." I answered.
"That's not liberty then." He pointed out.
PD-nim interfered. "She can accept and refuse these contracts-"
"With you having the last words." He replied. "You'll overwork her."
"The idea is to get her contracts when your band is away or any other, when there is a dead period. Like that she won't have to take so much work she'll work 18 hours a day for three months. I'll give her better vacation that matches yours if you want." PD-nim added.
That wasn't sounding so bad. One last question from Hobi. "How big is gonna be her raise?"
He looked me in the eyes. "I'll triple her salary."
Wait.. That was.. That made 150'000$!?! "Why didn't you give her more before?" Hobi lastly asked.
"I didn't realize how much you were worth. It is the first time I sign a choreographer for years instead of only a dance. I'm adjusting myself." He replied. "Is it a deal?"
"Sounds fair.. What do you think Angel?" Hobi said to me.
I shook my boss' hand "I'll sign that new contract for my years left here."
Hoseok's P.O.V.
We showed up for the next trial day. Nothing different from the day before except some of Mako's questions. Ash listened carefully and nodded. She wasn't as emotionally involved into his answers as she had been the day before. She surely had something else in mind."Thinking about the contract?" I asked once home. She nodded no. "Tomorrow?"
"Do we have enough food for them? I'm worried we won't have enough." She explained.
It was that? I laughed hugging her. "We'll go get some groceries in the morning if it's what troubles you."
She rested her arms against my back. "Do you think they'll understand?"
"Of course they will Angel.. They're our friends." I promised.
"You invited their lovers too right?" She asked.
I chuckled. "All covered. Rest easy now."
