Aecha's P.O.V
"Hi sweetie! How's my star going?" My mother greeted me holding me tight.

"Pretty good.. Happy to be home." I admitted.

She took a closer look at my left hand. "These are gorgeous! You lucky girl."

I let out a nervous chuckle stuffing my hands in my pockets. "I guess I am.. Mind having a drink with your daughter?"

She went to the fridge to get a bottle. "11am and asking for wine? Tell me what's going on baby."

I sat on the couch with her. "Why didn't you and dad get married?"

She played with her engagement ring. "Well.. He gave it to me after we had been dating for a year and since I thought it was a lot better than my last relationship, I accepted. Then, later I got pregnant with you and we moved here. We never brought it up again. Your father wasn't much of a romantic as you know." She looked up to me. "Why are you asking about this? Did he pop the question?"

"Goodness no! No.. But he brings it up pretty often and kinda broke the mood.." I messed up my hair. "This is so embarrassing.."

She laughed. "He said something about it during sex did he? Men never learn." She turned to me. "Let me ask you this.. Do you want to get married?"

"I never thought about it before being with him.. I do want to marry him, but-" She cut me mid-sentence.

"Then what's the problem?" She asked.

"I don't know.. It just seems like it's too early or too good to be true. After marriage it's kids and I'm not even sure I can give him that. I'm scared mom. I know nothing about a wedding.. Nothing about family. I never dreamt of this happening to me." I explained refilling my glass.

"Honey.. The unknown is scary, but if you trust him. One person walking into this with you makes it a lot less fearful of whatever is coming ahead." She promised.

"Mom.. Were you ever scared? Of moving out here? Raising me?" I had to ask.

"I did Aecha.. I was terrified to move to a country I barely knew with my boyfriend of two years to a new job and to raise a child only after 6 months there. Thankfully, your father tried his best to reassure me." She admitted filling my glass again. "You're already better off than me."

I knew she was right. "Yeah.. Sorry for barging in like that and being a bit too emotional about this." I wiped the tears off my face.

"Baby.. Why are you crying? I don't want you feeling bad for me now okay? All that happened to me led to having you and I couldn't be more proud of you." She held my face between her hands. "You're my most precious thing and I almost lost you.. I want you to be happy baby. That's all that you deserve."

I couldn't stop. "What if I can't marry him? What if I chicken out? What if he wants kids and I can't-"

She hugged me to her. "Shh.. Hoseok knows you. He loves you married or not. Getting married is just a day to celebrate your love, but you two already know your feelings. A wedding is just an extra... And don't worry about having kids. If you tell him, I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out, both of you. Rest easy.."

"Can I sleep here tonight?" I requested.

She kissed my hair and squeezed me tight. "My door is always open for you baby.. Always.. I'll make some kimchi fried noodles for dinner, is that okay with you?"

I simply nodded, cuddled up against her like a four year old. She didn't leave until my tears had stopped.

Hoseok's P.O.V.
It was getting late.. Really late. I heard doors open so I checked. "Oh.. It's just you two.. Is Ash still parking the car?"

Kookie seemed rather confused."No, I drove back here. Noona said she'd walk."

"It's past 9pm. You didn't even call her to check if she'd like the lift?" He had to be kidding me. I took out my phone.

"Who are you calling?" Kook asked. Really? Who?

"I'm calling her mother.." I dialed her number and waited.

"Hoseok! How are you doing?" She answered. "Before you say anything, Ash is here. She's staying for the night. You don't have to worry. She's in good hands."

"Did I do something wrong?" I wanted to know.

"No honey.. You didn't do anything. She's a little overwhelmed that's all." Nathalie explained.

"Overwhelmed about what?" I needed more details.

"Just come have a cup of coffee tomorrow before work. I'll make you breakfast." She insisted.

I denied. "She doesn't want to see me. I appreciate, but I won't overstay my welcome."

"Just come tomorrow sweety. It's not that she doesn't want to see you." She asked one last time. "Get some sleep. You need it. Good night.."

I ended the call. I was alone in the hallway, Kook who had witnessed the call entered his room and came out. "I'll sleep in your room hyung."

I frowned."Why?"

"Because that's what I do when one of you is upset." He said casually entering my room.

Sure.. If he thought it could help.

I saw her, white and cold, her rings slowly sliding off, all our memories passing by, battling in the water, our friendly dance competitions, our first kiss.. The rings left her finger. Hopes passing by, to finally dance in our new studio room at home, to go on a trip together without work in the back of our minds, to propose to her, to marry her, to-
I woke up on my last thought as the sound of the rings hitting the floor and single sound of the heartbeat machine rang to my ears.

The sheets were completely soaked. A nightmare, again. I looked around. Kook was sleeping, my ring was the one on the floor. I got out of bed to put it back on. 2am.. I should take a shower.

"Hyung? What are you doing up?" Dammit I had woken him..

"Just a bad dream. Go to sleep Kookie.." I took my bathrobe and headed for the shower.

Hobi seriously, what were you thinking? She's just upset, not breaking up with you. You didn't have a nightmare like that in a whole week.. It's also been a week were she'd fallen asleep after me. The warm water calmed my heart out, but my mind wasn't at ease. Why were the lights on in the room?

I tied my gown and dried my hair. "What the hell Jungkook? Lights on at night?"

"You won't sleep in a soaked bed hyung, I was arranging mine so you could sleep in it." He admitted.

"I won't sleep Jk.. It's fine." I brushed it off.

"Liar hyung..Get here.." He pat his bed.

I layed down. "Fine. Now what?"

He frowned. "Just close your eyes hyung.."

I did and I felt fingers in my hair, I could almost take then for hers.. "How do you know she does that?"

He chuckled. "Noona texted me ealier. We also see her do it to you all the time. She told me it could help."

She wasn't mad at me? She cared for my feelings right now? She wasn't upset about me? "You're not lying just to make me feel better are you?"

He denied. "Of course not hyung. See for yourself." He showed me the message.

From: Ash noona
Hey Kookie, I might not show up tonight so if Hobi starts to worry, please watch over him for me. I play in his hair when he's upset or has a nightmare. It helps him go to sleep.
Goodnight..

I was smiling. She truly wrote to him."I think I should be able to go to sleep.. Thanks Kookie."

He smiled back closing the lights. "Only doing my job hyung."

I finally managed to get back the sleep I had lost to meet Ash's mom in the morning. I felt like such a kid.. Jungkook helping me. Never thought that would happen.
