"They say marriage will change you, but it didn't change me. Being in love changed me.
- R. Kelly
I woke up with a start. I whipped my head around to see what time it was to see how long I'd been sleeping. I caught a glance out a window and saw that it was dark out. I jumped off the couch and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed everything I had set out before on the counter and set it up outside on the deck.
I then tiptoed to our bedroom to see if Taylor was still sleeping. The door was still closed so I carefully opened the door and peeked my head in. Yep she was still sound asleep.
I walked in and sat down on the bed beside her. She looked like such an angel. Well, an angel that swallowed a watermelon. I bit my lip and pondered on if I should wake her up or not. I leaned over and kissed her ear. She stirred. I shook her arm a bit. She then rolled over and groaned. I swallowed a laugh. She doesn't think so, but I think she's absolutely beautiful when she looks like this.
She opened her sleepy eyes and locked them on me. I flashed her a grin. She smirked back at me.
"What the hell time is it?" she demanded.
"1:36 am," I replied.
"Why am I awake at this time?" she snapped sarcastically at me.
"Give me your hand and you'll see," I answered mysteriously.
She gave me a confused smile, but took my hand and followed me anyway. I led her out the door onto the deck. Her free hand flew up to her mouth.
"Oh my gosh Taylor! This is sooooo romantic!"
I chuckled and pulled her into a hug. "Yeah, I know."
I had laid the blanket down on the deck and set the lantern down in the middle and had turned it on. My laptop and stack of movies sat in a corner along with the bag of Kisses.
"I was planning on having a movie night with you but...the stars are beautiful tonight. And I'd love to just lay here and look at them with you," I stuttered out. God, I was as nervous as a teenager on a first date.
She smiled at me so big. I blushed lightly, but thanked god it was too dark for her to see.
We laid down on the blanket and looked at the stars. It was a clear night and it was beautiful. Her body was tucked close to mine and I could feel her body heat radiating off onto me. I played with her wild kinky hair. I bent my head down and kissed her just above her ear.
"It's so pretty out here tonight isn't it?" she breathed.
"Yeah, imagine how bad it would look if you weren't out here," I answered.
She giggled and slapped me. I began to protest when she began speaking.
"Maybe this would be the perfect time to brainstorm for baby names," she whispered.
"You know, I really like the name Taylor," I said with a grin.
She giggled and slapped me again. "Come on now Mr. Hottie, we should start getting some serious ideas!"
"Ok ok, I like the name Jordan," I said.
"Hmm, nah," she said.
"Oh this is gonna be hard," I muttered, "Uh how about oh Reese is a cool name."
"Yeah it is, I'll keep that one in consideration," she answered, "Think of some more."
"Autumn!"
"Oh my gosh Taylor! That's a gorgeous name!" she exclaimed.
"Alright!" I said, "So how does Autumn Reese Lautner sound to you?"
"Mm sounds just as good as Taylor Alison Swift Lautner," she whispered.
"Yes, equally beautiful," I whispered back.
And our baby will be too, I thought, as equally beautiful as you.
A/N: so this was really short I know but it was the best place to leave off and I'm super sorry for taking so long to update. I've just had horrible writers block on this. Ok honestly, I love the name Autumn Reese. I wanna have a daughter just so I can name her that.
