Coleen’s POV
“Oh, come on, Alex…” Izzy begged, giving up her puppy eyes.
“Don’t give me that look, Izzy”, Alex complained. “You know I couldn’t stand it. Ugh, fine… We’re going… Ugh, shopping…”
“Hooray…!” I squealed. “Where are we going to first?” It took a while to think about it. “Could we drop by to the bookstore?” I suggested on. Of all the places I loved to go, besides going to a concert or probably checking out a music shop, it’s a place where the books go to be sold to a very interested bookworm: the bookstore, whether new or second-handed.
“The bookstore is a great place”, Courtney grinned. Of course she would grin. She practically reads more than me, when it comes to school books. But when it comes to a series of novels, that’s practically where I belong. I’ve read lots of books and please don’t get me started how many were they.
Alex put on his hood. “Whatever…” he grimaced and for someone who hates shopping, he’s doing an awesome job. He started to walk to some place while the four of us quit whining about where the hell we were going to.
“Okay, so, we drop by the bookstore and how about some real shopping?” Addison claimed.
“What do you mean real shopping?” Courtney complained, looking like she wanted to bite off Addison’s head. Well, that was a funny scene. “If you’re in a mall, you buy something, and that’s you might consider shopping”.
“No, no; I didn’t mean to offend you”.
“Girls, you two are obsessively charming, now can you two please widen your eyes? Real shopping is all about the look of the dress so I think what Addison meant for real shopping was a department store and get us a couple of cute dresses or something close to that. Am I right?”
“You do have a point”, Courtney uttered sounding reasonable. “Okay, and after that, we can get us some snacks”.
“Great plan”, now, I was the one to grin. It’s simply amazing. “I’m into it, big time”.
A slurping sound seemed to get louder by seconds. I looked around and figured out it was just Alex with a chocolate shake from a nearby shake stall. “What’s your problem? I’m just walking around this floor and don’t argue around, okay? I got bored waiting for your plan”.
“Let’s go, then, shall we?”
First of all, we went to the bookstore. “This day isn’t such as hard as I thought”, Alex muttered, grabbing a book from one of the shelves. “Look, this book tells how many people can a psycho kill in a day, hour or minute! And it will tell how! This book was written for me! How much is this? $3.45 is such… an amazing price. I’m gonna buy it!”
Seriously, who makes a book for Alex? “Is that a second-hand book?” Courtney asked, reaching her head out to look at the book.
“Well, I think so. It won’t be a problem anyways as long as it contains everything I need”.
I grabbed a book from one of the shelves. I can’t tell you the title but it seemed pretty amazing. Fine, this is the title: Not So Normal by Kris Tulloch. It wasn’t so expensive and I think Alex would pay me up this time. Besides, he’s got too much money he hasn’t used to buy something.
“What the heck is wrong with these dictionaries?” Izzy complained. “This Korean-English dictionary costs so much!”
“Don’t worry, Izzy. Alex has it all covered”, Courtney tapped her shoulder. “Hey, Addison, why aren’t you picking out any books? Even Alex hates shopping but she seems to be going crazy over that book about killing people as a psychopath!”
