Addison’s POV
Alex’s watch teleported us to some place I haven’t been before. Hold on, where’d she get the watch anyway? I don’t care. At least we’re in the biggest mall in all of the country. I’ll guess there will be lots of people inside.
“Okay, I have no idea how to get through this”, I uttered. “But it does sound wonderful”.
“Why?” Izzy asked. “You’re gonna buy new cute clothes? We could shop together if you like”
“No, I’m not into fashion. I’m into the other boys”.
Alex sighed heavily. “This is gonna be the death for me”.
“Why’d you say that?”
Courtney looked at me as if I was an idiot or something. What’s up with her? “Addison, this is a Valentines mall. Any girl here could flirt around if they liked a guy, just like you said a while ago. You’re here to flirt on another boy, aren’t you? Well, think about this. What if a girl kisses Alex?”
I glanced at Alex. He looked likely to throw up. “And I do not want that to happen…” he grunted. “Ugh, I’d never kiss a girl”.
If Alex was an original boy, he sounded like a heart-breaker. But, what do I know? I’m not really much of the flirt. Actually, I am but I just feel something really different around Alex. I doubted her lots of times yesterday, I apologized for what I did last night and I just said ‘He’s mine!’ fighting with Addison over him.
“Well, for sure, any girl who’d kiss Alex does have a desperate crave for love”, Coleen explained, her eyes looking at the mall. “She goes too fast. If she kisses Alex, well, she’s so weird and super lonely. She wants to go too fast”.
“Point taken…?” I answered, feeling a bit offended. Maybe I was a flirt and was desperately longing for someone to love and I was depressingly lonely. Was that how it works?
Alex groaned for the last time. “Can we please not talk about this?”
“Okay”, I replied, grabbing my phone from my bag and took a picture of Alex.
“Hey, don’t do that!”
“Sorry… If I didn’t take that picture, no one would believe me”.
“Ugh, whatever…”
We walked into the mall. There were so many food choices there, other restaurants were even from different countries like Chinese and Mexican food. “Woah, this is so awesome…” Courtney mumbled, her eyes meeting about everything in the place, especially when she saw the enormous bookstore. “I’ve never seen a mall this large before!”
“Oh, God”, Alex muttered as she heard a few girls spotting her from behind. “Here lays Alexandria Chase, dying because of girls and because of CLASH Agencies’ stupid invention”.
The girls started to giggle. Their voices were a bit loud and they were in fact snickering. “Oh, girls, he’s so cute!” one of them squealed. “He’ll be mine one day”.
“Oh, in your dreams, Rebecca”, the second girl squeaked. “He’s mine, you know”.
“No way”, the last one said. “He’ll marry me!”
The first girl said again, “I’ll be making the first move on him. Watch and learn, girls”.
I pushed Alex along. “Come on, Alex… We need to get out of here”.
We kept walking and rode the elevator to the food court. “That was real crazy”, Izzy uttered. “I can’t believe girls already spot you even we just got in the mall”.
