Alex’s POV

“I-I don’t want anything from him”, Coleen refused. “I don’t even like that dork. Why pair me up with him? He’s nothing much to be understood of. He doesn’t even look human!”

Yeah, sure, why not talk a lot of negative things about the boy you like and refusing that you like him even it’s too obvious you do? I never even told her she liked Jayden.

“You’re kidding me”, I said, scraping off the lipstick on my arm. “Dude, you like him”.

“I do not like him! I don’t like Jayden Vallore, okay?”

“Not a good time to talk, Sweetheart. Look behind you”, I pointed. There Jayden was, standing at the doorway with a bouquet of flowers in his arms. “Uh, yeah, good luck with that. Remember to make the first move before I kill him and squeeze his fragile head into little glass pieces”.

Courtney was always on my side so she just helped by pushing her towards him.

Coleen hit Jayden. I bumped Courtney’s fist as she bumped mine back. “Oh, Coleen”, Jayden turned. “I’m glad I caught you up. I thought you already left the mall. I saw you earlier at the bookstore and when you went outside, I saw you look at these flowers. I thought maybe… you’d love to have them. So… here you go”. He handed her the bouquet of red roses.

“Jayden, y-you shouldn’t have”, Coleen blushed until her smile suddenly turned into a grim warn. “But you have to get out of here”.

“Why do you want me to go? I just got here”.

I suddenly lunged at him.

“That is why”.

“Ow”, he complained as I punched him in the face. “Oof…!”

I snapped. “Change me back, you little brat!” I held him up by the collar.

“Okay, I will. Just give me time to explain”.

I put him down. “Explain then”.

“Not inside here. We’ll be safe to talk about it in the agency’s hideout on the third floor”.

Sure, why didn’t I think of that?

As we walked up to the escalator, we still had a conversation. Coleen couldn’t keep her eyes off that stupid bouquet of stupid roses of stupidity. Meanwhile, as Izzy and Addison were talking about those dresses they bought using their own credit cards and as Courtney started to count something I have no idea about, I was still having a fight with Jayden. “You know I’m starting to regret that I gave you that experiment setup”, Jayden started jerking his jaw. “It was an absolute mistake to do so. Ugh, why did I ever turn you into that? You’re a million times attractive and intimidating than you used to”.

“At this point that I saw you in misery, I’m starting to like your machine, Jayden”, I smirked at him. “It’s actually a wonderful idea to turn me into a boy. I could punch you all day long, punk”.

He put his hands in front of him. “No more punches, please. And what the heck happened to your hoodie?”

“Some girl took it. What’s up with this mall anyways?”

“Anything else much worse happened to you?”

“Yeah, I got kissed on the lips by the girl I always hated at school”.

“I suddenly like my idea”.

I grew angry. I felt violence rush into me. “One more word about you and your stupid words, you are so gonna get it from me. Now, shut up until we get to the chief”.
