How can you be so kind?
They asked
How can you be so bright?
Sweet like honey the words dripped from her lips
Because people to me were unkind
she replied
Because people tried to dim my light
Then bitter like a bee sting she continued
And in trying to prove them wrong
I learned how to be strong
