"The inside of your house is gorgeous! How many rooms are there?" Jael asked Davin when the two made it back to his architectural home.
"Thanks. It's a modest house. About 8 bedrooms, 8 full bathrooms and 3 half baths, a gym, basketball court in the back, home theater, indoor pool, game room, and I have an home office."
"Modest" he says. Like any of this is considered "modest" by standard norms. Oh, to be rich. This massive home must be a "poor man's" home to the elite then. It's unimaginable how many people could be fed and housed with the amount this house is worth.
"Oh yeah, that's extremely modest. In fact, it's quite peasant," she says sarcastically, "Please tell me you at least have a hidden corridor, tunnel, secret bookcase, at least 2 hidden rooms, and or a slide that goes from the top floor to the bottom."
"And you think I'm being extra," he rolls his eyes, "I don't have all that but there is a hidden tunnel that leads in various directions, and surprisingly I do have a couple of hidden rooms. One is more of a room that serves as a panic room, and the other is a weaponry room."
Jael does love a cool hidden room. She may just have to branch out on her own at some point in an attempt to unearth these said hidden rooms.
"So, I'm definitely going to try and find those rooms," she says excitedly.
Davin laughs at his date's silliness and smiles, "Maybe next time. Let me give you a tour of the house and then I want to get started on dinner, okay?"
"Ugh, fine," he must not realize that she's going to be secretly searching for the rooms while he's showing her the house, "You know your brother never showed me around his house. He was always adamant about me staying within his office and not roaming about the place. He has a weird obsession with people meandering, doesn't he?"
"In case it hasn't dawned on you yet, my carbon copy isn't very hospitable."
The house was so beautiful and captivating. Jael almost felt like she was walking around in a staged home she was possibly going to buy. You know the way a house looks when a realtor is trying to sell it? They put all of these delightful and fashionable items in every room that wouldn't normally be in a homeowner's house. It's simply staged to look a certain way to give the potential buyer a view into what the house could look like.
Even though Davin had some odd items within his home that didn't really seem to fit his personality from what Jael could tell so far, the home was still warm and inviting. He surprisingly had great taste in furniture and art, however.
"I'm surprised at how well this place is decorated. I know I don't know you amazingly well, but some of the things in here don't really seem like your style, but I love the way this wall is set up!" Jael told him while staring at a spacious wall that had various family photos on it.
"Sounds like you're trying to say just because I'm a man, I don't have good taste in the way my home should look."
"That's definitely not what I'm saying. There are women who don't know how to style a home as well. I'm just saying you don't really seem to be the type who would style their house in a particular way."
"Jael I was kidding. I actually didn't decorate most of the house. Daisy and a few of her friends did. She let me have a say in a few things here and there, but she's real mastermind and I allowed her to run wild. I think most of the decor fits me though. She knows me pretty well."
Jael stares at the family photos on the wall. It looks to be set up in almost a family tree type of fashion. There were four large photos in frames that typically royal's photos are housed in. The people in them looked to be of high esteem and very stern.
