Just as Jael was snuggling under the covers and grabbing her own tablet to find something to watch on Netflix, she heard two raps on the bedroom door.
"The door's open," Jael answers absently.
In walks Kostas in a regular muted grey t-shirt and jersey black basketball shorts.
"He looks good in grey and black"' Jael thought to herself.
Did she just comment on his appearance? What kind of nonsense has Lucia been putting in her head?
"Cute pjs," Kostas jokes, commenting on Jael's pajama pants with polar bears and penguins on them, "A little out of season, but cute none the less."
"Man shut up! What do you want?" She says defensively and trying not to laugh.
"I thought I was joining you to movie watch?"
"Well, hurry up and get over here."
Kostas smiles and closes the door behind him before jumping onto the bed next to her and scooting close.
"I'm just now realizing these beds are pushed together. You and Lucia pushed the beds together?" He rhetorically asks, laughing at the childlike thing his friends did.
Jael chuckles, "Yeah Lu pushed them together talking about she wanted to be closer to me. Some mess like that. She's so adorable."
"Well, what are we watching? You have anything picked out?"
"I noticed that one of our favorite movies is on there."
"It wouldn't happen to have the line, "This ain't no picnic bitch!" in it would it?"
"It sure would! It's the same movie that has the sign, "Bill Gluckman's down with the bitches and ho's," she laughs vividly.
"Turn that shit on!"
Jael turns on their favorite movie, Malibu's Most Wanted, and sits back while Kostas gets under the blankets as well.

About an hour into the movie, Jael could feel Kostas becoming restless next to her, but she was so intently watching the movie that she didn't notice his eyes watching her instead of the movie.
Sometimes if someone is staring hard and long enough at someone else, the person being watched can feel the eyes of the watcher on them.
"Why are you staring at me?" Jael asked smiling.
"I'm just glad to be here with you. I could've been back home right now being miserable with a cheating girlfriend. Instead I'm out of town with my best friends celebrating the birth of one of them. I'm glad you guys didn't give up on me. And I'm glad that I still have you in my life. I know that you've been going through a lot and my added nonsense with Sophia wasn't doing you any favors to ease your worries."
