"Parts of the Memphis and surrounding areas were flooded last night due to the sudden onset of a terrible and perilous storm. There were no visible signs of an impending storm on the rise, so we here at Fox 13 would like to apologize if anyone's plans were ruined due to our previous forecast.

Even though we forecasted a nice cool and easy night, that was thrown out the window. This was one of the worst storms Shelby County and surrounding areas in West Memphis, Arkansas and Olive Branch, Mississippi have seen in a long time.

We're getting reports of thousands of people without power to their homes from MLG&W, and some are even saying that the power in their cars was nonexistent. Can you believe that Jared? Cars' electrical circuits not working. Can you imagine driving down I-40 at 70mph and suddenly your car starts to slow down without you hitting the breaks, then coming to a stop. That had to have been terrifying."

"You're right Dana, that really would've been something. It sounds straight out of an apocalypse movie. Which, by the way, Memphians, is not what is going on so there is no need to worry. This was just a good old-fashioned Memphis summer storm. Let's go over to Tamika in the field to show and discuss the damage the storm did. Tamika?"

"Hi Dana and Jared, yeah that was definitely some storm last night. My kids were completely terrified, but my husband and I built a makeshift tent in the living room and consoled them. We stayed up and told stories and had snacks. Even our two German Shepherds joined us. It was actually pretty fun.

But anyway, while Ave, my camera guy, and I were driving around to assess the damages we noticed that Memphis' beloved Mori Industries skyscraper took some serious hits. It looks like a whole entire two floor's worth of windows were blown out. Papers, furniture, and glass scattered on the ground and on top of the building's parking garage. Firefighters shutdown the building for the next couple days to make sure it's safe for their employees to return to work on the unaffected floors, but it looks like no one was in the building at the time of the storm so there were no casualties or injuries.  Along with the Mori industries building being damaged, it looks like some of the surrounding buildings also took a hit, but definitely not as bad as their building.

We reached out to the Industries owners, Mori siblings, Davin and Daisy for comment..."

"Dang girl, you and Damien really fucked shit up last night," Davin says the next day when Jael went to see him at his house in The Middle and discuss what happened the night of the "reckoning". The two of them were sitting in his living room watching the news reports on the storm and eating some leftover sushi Davin had handcrafted himself.

"Well, he mostly did that himself throwing that stupid hissy fit."

"You're right, it definitely was a hiss fit and childish of him. But I'm so proud of you! You achieved turning him. I still can't even grasp the fact that my brother is human."

"I really can't either. Has he gained consciousness yet? Is he still with Daisy?"

"Yeah he's still with Daisy and still unconscious. He's actually in a medically induced coma to help his body heal. That wound you inflicted was pretty deep and nasty. I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to back you up. I know you had to have been terrified. And by the looks of it things got really out of control. I'm so happy you're alright though. I bet you looked like a total badass! However, I'm not gonna lie; I'm kinda glad my brother isn't nonexistent even though I know he could've been; I'm glad he'll get a second chance. Don't get me wrong though, it's not like he deserves a second chance, but I'm glad he's getting one. Maybe I'll get my brother back. Or at least some semblance of him."

She didn't know how he could hold on to the ghost of someone who likely was never coming back. Jael found it commendable of him to hold out hope in his twin brother, but also stupid. She would hate to see how disappointed Davin may be if Damien doesn't live up to his hopes.
