Davin is the new Death?

That's such a crazy thought.

Was this possibly his plan all along?

Have his brother removed from the throne and out of the way so he could take his place as king.

Was Davin cunning and evil enough to attempt and carry out a plan like that?

Jael had to admit that it would've been a masterful plan. Have everyone fooled into thinking Davin is the good and moral brother so that no one would suspect him of coming up with such a strategy.

All this time, all the stories Davin told her, Jael never really got the other end from Damien. Was there really a possibility that it was he, not Damien, was the one that got messed up by the events of what happened to the twins and spiraled from that point on? That Damien was the moral and sound brother, but he went insane because of Davin?

Hmm. It's a thought.

Once Jael showered and changed into her pajamas, she sat on her bed with a snack and contemplated what else Davin had said.

This was her out. She was no longer tied to Damien which meant she was currently no longer a reaper. She would still be half dead, yeah, but she would be free. No more obligation.

But is that what she wanted? She had become accustomed to this life and now can't imagine her life not being one. What would she even be doing?

That's it, her decision has been made.

"Are you sure this is what you want to do? I'm giving you one more chance to back out before we continue

"Are you sure this is what you want to do? I'm giving you one more chance to back out before we continue."

Jael was with Davin in an underground room inside of the shop of an African woman and Native American man shaman couple in The Middle.

She didn't really like being in there, but this was where Davin told her to meet him when she called him the next day.

"I'm sure. I can't really imagine my life without this part of me. It's what I've become, and I believe I am stronger for it. Plus, being both a Lumiere and reaper makes me sound like a badass mothafucka," Jael says boldly.

"You are a badass mothafuckin' queen," Davin smiles, hyping her up, "But if you are definitely sure, then Mr. and Mrs. Blackwolf, we're ready."

Mrs. Blackwolf gestured for Jael and Davin to sit at an old Oak wood rectangular table across from each other. On the table was an array of different items: a lacquered blood-red bowl in the middle, a couple of candles—white and black, a bushel of some kind of flower looking plant, and some bandages and rubbing alcohol.

Bandages and alcohol?

"What are the bandages and alcohol for?" Jael asked skeptically.

"This," Mr. Blackwolf says while pulling out a long, brown handled, sharp knife.
