Revelations 6: 7,8
7) "And when he has opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see."
8) "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."
Just as she had suspected, the doctor allowed Jael to return home to finish recovering and was astounded at how quickly her body healed after the surgery. Of course, she and Lucia had to also spend part of their Christmas holiday break being at the police station along with a few other girls who were pressing charges against Rosewood and Brian.
Jael finally found out what it was Davin must've done. The detective on the case eagerly alerted them that Rosewood and Brian sang like canaries when it came to their confessions.
"It was strange. When we first arrested them and a couple days after, they refused to confess or to say much of anything at all. They negated to tell us of how many victims and who all was involved and how long they had been running this disgusting operation. We brought them back in to give it another go and suddenly they were singing from the rooftops!" The detective had said.
"Singing"? That's odd.
"There is no way these two aren't going away for at least five years for each victim and so far, we've found ten but we're still waiting on at least another ten to give statements. This was legitimately an entire underground operation with other men involved as well. That club is getting shutdown and they're all going to prison."
What?? How did that happen? How did they go from not saying anything to spilling---
"Don't worry about it."
Davin.
Christmas Day
It seemed like ever since Jael became a reaper, around this same time all those years ago, something wrong or weird happened around Christmas. None of her Christmases after were just normal.
Every year after her first encounter with Damien, it snowed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and it would only snow on those two days. That may not sound too out of the ordinary, but where she lived it never snowed on either of those days. In fact, snow usually didn't ever start showing up until late January to February. On occasion it would even snow in March. This year was no different. It was like Damien was sending her a reminder of their first encounter. An "anniversary gift" he called it one time she decided to ask him about it. As if that was supposed to explain how he managed to make it snow. Unless he just "knew a guy"?
Jael's family and the Flowers family had decided to spend Christmas together this year. Both families were close to having a tragedy within them and they wanted to count their blessings together.
The families decided to have Christmas Eve at the Carter's residence and Christmas Day at the Flowers' residence. Currently they were at the Flower's residence with a few extra people. Bruce had come over to exchange gifts with his girlfriend and she had some out of town family to come over and stay a week. Kostas was with his family traveling to Brazil to visit his mom's family and he took Sophia with him. Jael wasn't salty, but he had never taken her with him on one of his family trips like that before....ok so she was salty, but it didn't matter.
