"Thank you for your co-operation, everyone!"

It was after school, we'd just finished the student council meeting. I didn't think anything special would happen, but hey, I guess life liked to give you surprises every now and then.

She was the head of the student council. She was the most confident girl I'd ever seen in my life, and she was also my childhood friend.

"Do people hate me?" She asked me once we were left alone. "It's like they don't want me to be the head of the council. Everyday, trying to find a mistake I make.."

"Hey, if there's one thing I know about you ever since we were little, it's that you never let other people's words get to you," I comforted her. "You were the brave one, always protecting me from the bullies. Always striving to prove that I wasn't a coward. Hey, it'll be okay, you got your friends, including me." (˃ᴗ˂)

"Thanks," she said, holding my hands tightly. Eventhough we were not more than friends, she never hesitated to hold my hand whenever she had a problem. It was cute, but sort of sad too.

"Hey, remember when we used to swim together, and you'd always beat me?" I said, trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah..."

"Hey, hey, don't cry."

I immediately hugged her. She needed the warmth and comfort. "Gee, what's wrong with you today?" I asked her teasingly, trying to cheer her up. "You're crying a lot. Such a crybaby." ( ̄▽ ̄)

"Sh-shut up!" She said, tears in her eyes.

"Hey, things are going to work out, okay,"I said, trying my best not to blush about what I just did

"Hey, things are going to work out, okay,"I said, trying my best not to blush about what I just did.

"Wh-what was that for!" She yelled, but she didn't run away. "Pervert!"

"I don't know, I just felt like doing it after ten years."

"Well..."

She moved closer to me, and she kissed me. On the lips.

I didn't panic, I just sort of let it happen. Her lips were warm, and her hair smelled like chocolate. We just stayed there for a couple of seconds.

She slowly pulled away, "Well, that was something I just felt like doing since we were grade 5."

I slowly laughed.

"Hey, what are you laughing at!?"(#^ω^)

"I knew, I wasn't the only one harboring this feeling." ( ̄▽ ̄)

"Sh-shut up! I don't even know what to do now, you just made me more confused! I still can't abandon my work, so I won't be as attentive of a girlfriend as you thought I would be."

"Never said that I thought of you as a potential attentive girlfriend."

"What does that suppose to mean?" (; ̄Д ̄)

"Anyways, let's just go home right now. It's getting late, let me walk you home."

I held her hand, and she didn't let go.

"Fine, just this once, I'll let you lead the way," she said, admitting defeat.

"Yeah, yeah." ( ・ ิ ω ・ิ )

"Annoyingggg!!"
