"You're putting in too much salt!"
"Nope, that's the perfect amount!"
"Then don't be mad at me when your sodium level goes over the roof," I said, causing her to give me an 'I-hate-you-but-I-love-you-too" look.
We were cooking breakfast. She was making scrambled eggs, and I was making toast. It was a simple breakfast, but one we had shared a lot of times.
"You've got any plans for today?" I asked her.
"Not really," she answered. "Why?" (゜-゜)
"Well, I was wondering whether you would be interested in these," I said, taking out two tickets to a movie she had been anticipating for so long.
"You shouldn't have," she told me. Despite what she said, her smile told me that she was really happy about it.
"Well, let's finish our breakfast first okay." ( ・ ิ ω ・ิ )
"Yeah, yeah."
"Wha-what was that for!" She yelled, almost dropping the frying pan.
"Woah, be careful there sweetie. Wouldn't want you getting hurt, would I?" I said before taking the pan from her and scrambling the eggs.
"How did I become so attracted to you?" She asked teasingly.
"Just because," I said. "Because you knew I would be such a good husband even back when we were in primary."
"Shut up, that was a long time ago."
She then hugged me from the back. I could feel her heart beat near mine, as well as her breathing into my shirt.
"Be careful, your hands might get burnt," I told her.
"That won't happen. Because I know you'll protect me before that happens," she said.
I turned my head, and saw her smiling like the little child she was.
"Come on, let's eat breakfast."
"Yep!"
Fin.
