"I'm up, I'm up!"

It wasn't even five o'clock yet, and I was already being licked to conciousness.

I slowly picked her up, and placed her on the part of the bed where she wouldn't be accidentally hit by me. I stretched and yawned before patting her for being such a good girl.

She was my birthday gift last year, and she had been accompanying me loyally ever since. She was a cute, little Pomeranian, and I loved her like she was my own child.

She immediately barked at me, trying to catch my attention.

"What is it?" I asked her, knowing exactly what she wanted.

She then continued on with her usual habit of rolling her body upside down to ask me for a belly rub. I often teased her by slowly moving my hands towards her and then pulling up just before I was about to touch her belly, but I decided not to do that now.

"Who's the good girl?"

She barked in response, as if to say she was the good girl which I had no problem with.

"Come on, it's still early, let's go for a walk! You need the exercise, fatty," I said, while giving her a full-body rub.

She barked louder this time, wagging her tail and looking really excited.

I picked her up, and placed her down on the floor. I changed my clothing to something more suitable, and called her to follow me.

We went outside to be met by a cold breeze, but the both of us didn't care.

"Catch me if you can!" I yelled before running straight into the park with her right up on my tail. She kept on barking excitedly, and I kept on running.

Out of the night sky that was life, she was truly one of the few shining stars.

Fin.

Note: Yeah, this was also a fresh take on my short stories, but hey love isn't just between human. I've never had a pet, so this definitely required some extra thinking, but I hope you all still enjoy it!
