"From the beginning, explain,"he says sternly. I nod.

I recall the events of the day. Looking outside the window I start talking. The crimson sky doesn't please me anymore. It almost reminds me of the red fire. The hot blazing fire that I hate from this moment.

"Appa started drinking again,"I say. He sighs. He knew about it. Though I knew him for barely a few moths, he knew so much about me. Taehyung and his family had moved in from daegu only a few months ago. The moment I knew that I was getting a new neighbor I was beyond happy. The grumpy old man who occupied this mansion before was not someone who I liked.

He always seemed to glare at me and when me and my brother went around the area, cycling, our giggles and fits of laughter never really pleased him.

I was happy enough to know that he was moving out.

When I had noticed the large truck parked outside the mansion and about three men carrying boxes from the truck to the inside of the house, I couldn't stop myself from getting excited. I liked people in general. I wanted to make new friends.

'Mom! I'll go and welcome our new neighbors' I had shouted before running toward the mansion.

'Make it fast, you need to be here before lunch' She had shouted back.

I was overjoyed that the family that moved in not only had a son but someone who was only fifteen, a year older than me, also the little girl who I later got to know was Teahyung's little sister had peeked up at me from hiding behind her mother. Her smile had brightened up my day. I had later got to know that Taehyung's dad and mine were good friends from their childhood.

I had practically camped at this house for the past few weeks. The tension and fights at home weren't pleasing and after all these years I still hadn't gotten used to it. Though I felt guilty for letting my brother stay there I din't really have a choice. I stayed here up until my brother came in search of me. He was twelve and well I think to him the fights at home weren't really a big deal. When I had once asked him he had brushed me off by saying that his ears were so used to it that it felt like he was hearing nothing.

"Appa started drinking again after a whole month," I shiver.
"The fights at home must have forced him to," I start sobbing again. He hugs me now and his warmth gives me a little comfort. I must not forget to say, I had a little crush on this guy. His rectangular smile and his goofiness comforted me during the hard times.

"Dad had called me and the moment he uttered a word I was sure that he was drunk, I was out with my friends and I had to go back home, I had called Mom but only to tell her to stay put, to not vent out her anger and stress from work on him," he nods understandingly.

"B-but sh-she," I stutter.

"S-she had told that she wouldn't spare him today, it was my fault, I shouldn't have let her know," I wail.

Her voice was still clear in my head. Her words seemed to be embedded into my mind.
