25 March, 2017

I jump around the house as Jungkook shouts for me to stop.

"Noona! She's gonna start doubting us," He whispers.

"Yah! She isn't even home," I glare at him.

"Oh yea," he scratches his head.

"Uh epiphany," I facepalm.

"Noona, when are we leaving?" He asks.

"I don't know, soon. I'm graduating tomorrow, we'll have to find a place to stay in first and I still haven't decided which university to attend, it's a long process. We'll have to wait for a few more weeks," I say as I think about all the different things we'll have to pack.

"Let's start packing okay?" He says excited.

"No, not now. We can do that at night when she's busy," I wink.

"Okay," he nods.

My phone rings and I'm already aware of who it would be.

"It's Taehyung hyung!" Jungkook shouts, accepting the call for me.

"Yah! It's for me, hand me my phone," I whine.

Jungkook glares at me before handing me the phone.

"Hello!" I say with enthusiasm.

'Hey!'He says.

I smile as he speaks. Jungkook lifts his eyebrow and I elbow him before heading to my room.

"When are you leaving for Seoul?" I ask.

'In an hour.' He says.

I nod. Taehyung had left to daegu last year. As he had said, he ended up choosing a university in daegu to continue his studies. He was visiting Seoul after months and I was happy that my graduation ceremony was tomorrow and Taehyung could attend it.

I had informed my mother about it but she had denied and told that she had some meeting to attend and I was actually happy. I din't need her there. She never acted like my mom anyways.

"Visit me as soon as you step foot on Seoul okay?" I say sternly.

'Yea yea.' He giggles.

'So..what have you planned?' He asks slowly.

"Plan? Well I don't know, we'll have to find out a place for me and Jungkook to stay in first."

Taehyung knew everything. It din't take him much long to figure out and I had no intention of hiding it from him.  He was one among those people who I could trust. He was with me and he had witnessed everything happen.

'Hmm...so where are you planning on leaving to?' He asks.

"I don't know," I say.

'Jennie, you do realize that your last chance on leaving would be this upcoming month, right? Your mom is taking a break from work for the next few months, you wouldn't be able to leave then,' he says bewildered.

"Yah! Stop lecturing me okay? I know you're an year elder to me but just stop. I'm not a kid anymore," I whine.

'Okay,' he says with a hopeless tone.

I sigh.

"Can we discuss when you are here? Face to face?"

'Okay! I I have a train to catch. Byee!' He shouts.

"Byee!" I say as I hang up.

I sigh. Mom, we'll have to keep this away from her. She wouldn't want us leaving. Though she had managed to continue with her work after the accident, the people around never respected her. The only reason she was still allowed to even stay in the place was simply because she took care of us and us leaving would mean that all the reputation points she had gathered in these years would all vanish in minutes.

She wouldn't want that. She wanted to live a normal life and that was why she had done that to dad but she failed to realize that by doing so she would loose her reputation, her husband and her children. Her definition of a 'normal life' was different form ours and that became the sole reason for her to commit something this atrocious.

Dad, after all these years I still couldn't forget him. I could still hear his voice. Little things reminded me of him.

Once when I had burnt my skin while ironing my clothes I was reminded of him. He must have felt this way right? I had thought.

Form that incident onward I was even scared to light a candle. At times when I cooked and had gotten too close to the stove, I had thought of the same thing.

He must have felt this all over his body, right?

And every single time I was enraged.
