Chain Reaction (On Hold)

Chapter XXI

She was awoken by the sun's rays. Someone must have lifted the blinds up. She made a good morning stretch matched with a yawn before getting up and then she realized she was alone on that bed.

"Hindi naman ako nanaginip kagabi diba?" She whispered to herself. And the thought of last night made her blush. Nakalibre chansing siya sa asawa. She still can't believe they slept together.  She was about to get up when her door suddenly opened wide.

"Oh." Was all she was able to say upon seeing her topless husband. She bit her lip. He's too tempting.

"Good you're awake. Breakfast?" He said and smiled. She can melt right then and there.

"Ana?" He called her attention.

"Huh? What? Uh, oh yes." She said and stood up.

"You go ahead. I'll just wash up." She said and ran to her bathroom.

Ken was left there confused about his wife's behavior. But he just shrugged it off and went to his room to get himself a white undershirt he almost forgot about it because he went straight to Ana's room to wake her up.

"Antagal mo, I thought wala ka nang balak bumaba." He said the moment she stepped on the dining area.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were waiting." She said shyly.

"No. It's alright. Come!" He said as he stood up and pulled Ana towards her seat.  Ana's eyes widened at the sight of the food. She had a big smile.

"Okay, since you weren't able to eat last night, I made your favorite. So you eat a lot, okay?" He said and headed to the kitchen. Ana was left smiling, right there in front of her were belgian waffles topped with whipped cream. It was her all time favorite.

"To complete your breakfast. Here's our choco coco loco, made by me." He said giving her a mug of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup and shredded dark chocolate. It was Ken's specialty and it was both their favorite. She smiled, how she missed that drink. Nobody does it like him, it's like he has this secret ingredient.

"Oh my gosh. Thank you!" She said as she took a sip of the drink. Ken looked at her and chuckled.

"Para kang bata!" He said and laughed as he took a big bite of his waffles. Ana pouted wondering what was so funny.

"Wipe your nose. You've got whipped cream." He said and Ana quickly wiped it. She giggled. Ken was left staring. His wife is so adorable. And finally Ana took a bite of her mouthwatering waffle. Napapikit siya sa sarap.

"Oh my gosh. I so love you for this!" She blurted out.

"What?" Ken asked with amusement.

"Huh? May sinabi ba ako? I said ansarap. Yes, yun nga sabi ko. Masarap." She said defensively. Ken just nodded with grin on his face.

"Oh my gosh. I so love you for this!"

"Oh my gosh. I so love you for this!"

"Oh my gosh. I so love you for this!"

What she said kept replaying on his mind. He felt so giddy that he can't help but smile. Para siyang teenager na sinagot ng nililigawan niya.

"Uh, Sir?" And his bubble was popped by Arthur's voice. He cleared his throat and composed himself.

"Yes?" He said.

"Meeting's about to start." Arthur informed him and he looked like he was stopping himself from smiling.
