Chris:

The guests that Ate Mhairi and Markus have invited keeps on coming; greeting while giving them their best wishes for their upcoming wedding. There are a lot of people that they've invited unlike the Surprise Party that my Mum organized for Ate Mhairi's homecoming. Most of her classmates from High School and University are all here to witness the formal engagement dinner. The whole event hall is buzzing with laughter and chatter from all the guests. The lights and glitter of the place are in full force to ignite the excitement of the people around for the most grandiose event tonight.

Despite the glitter, laughter and the excitement that everyone feels for the event, I still feel empty inside.

Chaz and Bella have tried and trying all their best to make me feel okay and lift my spirits up for the evening. Chaz even crack some jokes to lift my mood and make me forget all the heartaches I'm dealing with. I want to lift myself and enjoy the party. I want to ignore and put all the nightmares behind me just to be happy for Ate Mhairi.

But the more I try it, the more the melancholy and pain sinks and kicks me inside.

C'mon, Chris! Are you not feeling tired on dwelling yourself in utter misery?

Are you not tired of waiting for her lost memories to come back knowing the fact that it won't come back no matter how hard you try to make her remember you?

Have you not had enough of hurting yourself over and over?

Yes, I'm tired. I'm so, so tired of waiting.

I'm so tired of fighting for the memories we've shared together; those memories that she couldn't remember at all;

Those memories and the love that she feel for me,

The love she always feels for me since she realized that I'm the one for her---

Even before that fateful accident that took her away from me.

"Bella, Chaz, go and have some bite to eat."

"We will, Auntie. But..."

Bella looks at me in worry.

"I-I'm fine! Don't worry about me." I said in blithe.

"You haven't had anything since we came here, dude. You need to eat."

I beam my gaze on Chaz while putting a reassuring smile on my mouth.

"I'll get something later, dude."

Looks like Chaz and Bella understand what I really wanted to say behind those words that I muttered. He lightly taps my shoulder while she genially squeezes my hand before they leave. Mum stands in my front and gazes at me.

"I know you've been trying your best to be okay, sweetheart. I may not say anything about it but I've witnessed how strong you really are to face and deal with all these heartaches you're feeling. You're so young and yet, you've been dealing the utmost heartbreak of loving someone who cannot remember you."

"Mum..."

"It really, really hurts me to see you hurting like this, Chris. It's so hard for a mother like me to see her baby hurting so badly."
