Mhairi:

"SURPRISEEEEE!!!"

My feet immediately get stuck as my eyes suddenly widen with utter shock and surprise while seeing all the people around me—

—those familiar faces I knew since I was in High School and my closest mates back in University.

"Welcome home, Mhairi!"

I glance on the owner of the voice who greeted me – who's none other than Auntie Judith. She smiles the most enchanting, beautiful smile while her gaze is at me.

"A-Auntie? Y-You—"

I turn my attention to the people once again inside the marquee. They're all smiling at me while the others are applauding with joy and gladness of seeing me again. The euphoria within me exacerbates when my gaze found these two familiar people in the crowd. A tear suddenly springs free from my hazy gaze while my feet are now sauntering near them.

"Oh, my God—Mum?! Dad?!" I gasp with my hand on my mouth.

My folks immediately throw their arms around to reward me the warmest, loving hug. I couldn't contain myself longer, that's why I sob in glee. I couldn't explain this indescribable happiness I feel while feeling their loving embrace. My tears never stop streaming down in my cheeks while trying to grasp the delightful fact that my parents are standing in front of me.

"Aw, sweetie, please don't cry. Mum and Dad are here now." It's Mum while taking her arms away from me. My Dad starts to shed the tears on my cheeks. He tries to cheer me up with those loving hands while fainting an endearing smile.

"When did you guys came home? Why you didn't even tell me?" There's a sulkiness in my tone while I pout like a kid.

"Because we wanted to surprise you, Mhairi. We asked for your Auntie Judith's help to make this happen – and there you go! " Dad replied with his smile spreads wider.

My teary gaze roams around for the second time. I still couldn't assimilate what my eyes are seeing right now. All of our family close friends, my classmates in both High School and University – even Kirsty and Matthew are here with their lovely kids! I mean, oh, my God! I'm so, so happy—way beyond elated to see everyone tonight.

Chris:

Ate Mhairi was utterly shocked and surprised at the same time from seeing everyone in the marquee. Her happiness is way evident on her big, brown eyes while gazing at the people inside. Overwhelming emotions of euphoria flutter within me when she hugged Auntie Jeanette and Uncle George. Her tears and engaging smiles show how happy she was. It was all very sudden and unexpected for her to see everyone from the surprise party that my Mum organised for her. My gaze is still on them when a sweet smile slowly spreads across my mouth—

—most notably on her.

She is so, so beautiful tonight, and stunning like a princess as always. My heart couldn't stop skipping lots of beats while my gaze still beams at her. Yes, I love her. I love her ever since I could remember. But this love grows even more now that she's right there – just a few steps away from me.

"Wow! Is that your Ate Mhairi, Chris?" Chaz suddenly chimed out of the blue. "God, she's way beyond gorgeous, dude! I couldn't even tell that she's 30!"
