THERE WAS a look of awe, adoration and a sense of home present on Robin's face as he looked around the entire set up.

"Shit, baby girl, you—I—" He looked back towards her, swallowing hard with tears in his eyes. He grabbed her shoulders, both hands gently on either sides of her head and pressed herself to him in a tight embrace. "God, thank you so much, you didn't have to do this, baby,"

Carmen smiled into his sweater, "I remembered when we were at your 25th birthday. You said me saving you a dance was enough to be the best birthday gift, so I did my best,"

"Jesus, you remembered that?"

"Daddy, I never forgot. I was just waiting for the right moment, but that's for later. Aren't you hungry?"

"What have we got on the menu?"

"Only your favorite, quesadillas and our ever iconic spicy buffalo wings," She grinned widely as he pulled back the chair for her to sit before settling in the chair across from her himself.

"I still can't believe you're mine, angel," Robin shook his head in disbelief as the two of them helped themselves to the food.

"Let's go and take a DNA test, maybe you'll finally believe it," Carmen joked.

"Shut up," They both shared a laugh.

"I keep remembering that time when you fed me a lot of food and then I got hyper, tiring you out as you chased me around the house."

"Only to find that you puked in my army boots. Your uncle wouldn't let me live that down for ages," Robin laughed.

"You laughed anyway, said it's a blessing so I wouldn't think you were mad,"

"You're bloody bonkers if you think I'd get mad at my little Baby Murdock, hypocritical of me since I threw up all over your mother's feet once when she took me home after we first met." At that, Carmen lost her composure and started laughing rambunctiously.

"I wish I would have seen that, then I would never let you live it down," She huffed as she rolled her shoulders and went back to eating.

Robin points a chicken wing at her with a serious look, "You don't get too much of my moments in your arsenal, child. You enjoy this way too much."

Seeing him from a dangerous lieutenant who wouldn't hesitate to step in front of her and wield a gun to kill anyone that tried to lay a hand on her, to this carefree man that was now comically pointing one of his chicken wings at her as he tried to bite in a bark of his laughter seemed to have done it for her as she lost whatever effort of a composure she had to laugh endlessly at his statement.

He shared that laugh with her, of course. He finds it to have been very contagious and he finds himself unable to stop. He always did loved seeing her smile, it was a sight to see and often that she did, his chest would feel a hundred times lighter.

It wasn't until the middle of it when he finds himself with a complication, how the hell would he manage to find a bathroom in the woods?

"Oh, there's that public bathroom cube thing a little away from here, just follow the trail. You should find a red box from there," Carmen waved off nonchalantly. Robin raised an eyebrow and she gestured innocently for him to go.
