"THERE'S LIKE, only one other person who could access several files to her own pleasure and I'm pretty sure that's Carmen." Betty deadpanned.

"We're not going to hack into a home, Betty. We're to see your sister," Jughead retorted. "Besides, where the hell is she? Isn't she supposed to be here ten minutes ago?"

Right as he said that, Carmen bursted into the doors of Pop's Diner, somewhat of a mess. Her lipstick smudged, some bruising beginning on her cheek and a cut bleeding slightly over her eyebrow. Her hair was askew as Carmen tried to fix it by running her hands through them.

"Carmen, Jesus Christ! What the hell is with you getting into fights?!" Betty scolded, having left Jughead on their table and had strode up to Carmen.

"I'm fine, Betty. It looks worst than it is, just a threat I had to deal with," Carmen shook the blonde off, taking the tissue that she had offered and began to wipe off her lipstick. "Where are we going, anyway?"

"The Sisters of Quiet Mercy,"

"No offense, Betty, but I'm not at all religious."

"No, Carmen. It's a home for troubled youths, where disenfranchised teens will learn such virtues as discipline and respect, enjoying lives of quiet reflection and servitude," Betty corrected.

Carmen cringed, "Doesn't sound so enjoyable. And you know this because?"

"We have to see my brother. There's more that my mom and dad probably lied about, and I think only Polly knows it. She has connections to Jason," the blonde told her.

"Well, do you want me to look up everything?" Carmen offered. Jughead gave her a weird look, to which she raised an eyebrow to.

"No, no, it's okay."

THE BUILDING that loomed over them looked all the bits of being frightening. Carmen shuddered. "If this isn't creepy at all,"

"Don't judge a home for troubled youths by its facade, right?" Jughead shrugged at the two of them.

The moment they entered the lobby, it was like spiders had crawled up and down Carmen's skin. Maybe Betty's too, or all of them, but she was glad she'd adorned herself with her light brown coat, since her white button up was doing nothing to keep her warm at all, and her grey patterned skirt only kept a portion of her legs comfortable. The nude-colored stilettos hugging her feet did not even help her case.

The reason she was only wearing them was because she had to attend a conference regarding Murdock Agency on her father's behalf, which had been held at the compound, in one of her father's conference rooms.

As soon as she had gotten Betty's text, she had hurried without changing to a more comfortable attire, hence, why she was wearing a formal outfit inside a home. The only reason why she had been a mess was because a part of the meeting did not end well, and fortunately, the majority of it stood by her side.

Her heels clacking against the tiled floors, had their attention. She'd been told that a walk like that, partnered with heels, could intimidate even the bravest of men and Carmen happily took advantage of that, meaning business. That doesn't mean she was any less comfortable in the choice of footwear she was forced into.
