After watching all thirteen seasons, I can see why this show has been on television for as long as it has.
This show has had (still has) some amazing characters, on the main cast and recurring characters who have appeared from time to time. They've also had some great storylines. Even though it's a drama about the supernatural, and has stories involving angels and demons, vampires, werewolves, and even a grim alternate reality in which Sam and Dean never existed, it feels to me like there's an underlying theme about the importance of family, and I like that about it.
During its run, the show has given possibilities for two spinoff shows: Bloodlines (in the episode of season 9 titled 'Bloodlines') and Wayward Sisters (in the episode of season 13 'Wayward Sisters'). However, neither one was picked up by The CW for an actual series.
