"Sarah, are you sure you want to do this?" her husband asked, laying a hand on her shoulder.
"If the prophecy is true, we must do this." She set the babe in the basket and gently folded the blanket over her. "We'll just say she was taken from us. It's better than having them wonder why we did this." She placed the lid over the basket and placed it in the water.
