Kiara
I WAITED. I waited for Destruction to be distracted by the death it had caused.
The time finally came.
It had now been a week after my body was taken over. I had become used to the taste of human flesh after hours and hours of Destruction murdering people. Sometimes it licked the bones clean.
Destruction was finally distracted, when it was using magic to lure an adult man into bed. It had done this a lot recently. Luring men or women into bed, wanting to feel the pleasure of human skin against its own.
The man looked eager to get into the bed, but that's not what Destruction wanted. It wanted to rip out his neck.
The lust was the perfect moment to take ahold of my own body. Destruction leaned towards the man, and I struck. I yanked it out of my conscious and entered my body. Destruction cursed and tried to push back, but I had it in my firm grasp.
With the shock of coming into my own consciousness, the glamour fell, and the man jumped back.
"What the bloody hell!"
I quickly shifted into a human, picked up a blanket off the floor, and wrapped it around me. I looked around the room for something to change into, but nothing was available. The man still stared.
"Well?" I asked, "Are you going to get me any clothing?"
In the fear of the moment, he threw off his own shirt and tossed it at me, and then he took off. The shirt was oversized on me, but it fit. I took it off, tore some holes in it, and fitted it back on. I shifted and smiled, satisfied, as the shirt stayed intact with my wings protruding out of the holes that had been made.
Now to contact Aden. I closed my eyes and concentrated. I had never done this while awake, but I knew it was possible.
All of a sudden, I felt the ground move from under me. I opened my eyes, and saw that I was watching myself sit on the ground, but in a trance-like state.
So that's how this works.
Not wasting any time, I moved my corporeal body through the ceiling of the building. I moved in what I thought was the direction of Odin, and I was there within a second. I scanned the castle, looking for Aden. There, in the courtyard, walking with Marcus.
In this corporeal form, I could see a lot more than I usually could. I saw many colored lines trailing from people and things. The thickest one I saw was a thick band of gold between Aden and I. The line was about as thick as my arm.
I moved towards Aden, and then I was in his head, seeing all of his thoughts. Most of them were about me, and the attacks that Destruction had made across Odin. Others were on the time change for the coronation.
Psst, Aden.
He jumped about five feet in the air.
"You doing good there, Aden?" Marcus asked.
Aden rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "Sorry, I could've sworn I heard Kiara's voice in my head. My stress is on high alert these days."
Marcus clapped him on the back, "Get some rest, bud. You need it."
If he's not going to listen to me, let's see if Marcus will. I searched Aden's mind for his conscious. It was in the middle of where all of his thoughts were connected. I shoved his out of the way, and became in control of Aden's body, which came to an abrupt halt.
"Aden?"
His conscious was pushing on mine. I didn't have much time.
"Marcus, this is Kiara," I said in Aden's masculine voice, "I don't have much time, so let's make this quick."
Marcus's jaw dropped, "You better not be joking at this time. Not when she's already gone missing."
I ignored him. "Marcus, if you go ask who your real father is, Kalliarkos will look suspicious, so I'm just going to tell you. Your father is Draco Legace, and your half brother is Calvin Legace. I know you probably already figured out that Kalliarkos isn't your real father. I just wanted to let you know."
Marcus's jaw dropped even lower, "Am I drunk right now?"
"You'll find Calvin Legace in a cabin five miles north, in the Gerald Forest, you should also find Rebecca there with him." Aden pushed harder, causing me to stumble forward. "I'm not sure if Destruction will come back, but if it does, I want one of you to kill me." I got pushed out of Aden's body, coming back to my corporeal form.
I didn't say as much as I wanted to, but at least I got the message out.
