"Babe, time to get up." Kirishima didn't want to stirr Bakugou, especially when he was sleeping so soundly.
Kiri liked watching Bakugou sleep. He had ever since the first night they'd spent together, when they shared their bodies for the first time.
He always looked so gentle like that, every edged smoothed down, every deliberate movement slowed. He looked like his true self, the one who he only showed to Kirishima.
"Don't wanna." Bakugou grabbed onto Kiri's waist, pulling him down and holding him close.
Kirishima smiled. "You're affectionate today." He noted.
"No. Just cold."
Sure he was.
"I would keep cuddling you if I could, but it's almost ten."
"Ah shit." Bakugou groaned. He gave Kirishima a tight squeeze before pulling away.
"I'm going to shower."
"Want help?~"
"Shut the fuck up." Bakugou growled but his eyes were laughing.
Kirishima had never loved him more.
After Bakugou had showered and dressed, he sat down on the couch, drying his hair with a towel. Kirishima sat down beside him, waiting for him to finish so they could cuddle.
"We can go to bed early tonight if you want."
"That's not gonna happen. They're gonna be all nervous about their new home and they're gonna be hard to settle." Bakugou dropped the towel onto the floor and leaned into Kirishima, closing his eyes.
"I'll at least try to keep it down so you can sleep, okay?"
"Mm. Thanks." Bakugou muttered. "You're t' best."
Kirishima grinned widely. Bakugou wasn't the type to give complements outright, so it was a big deal when he did.
"Thanks." He whispered, "I love you."
"Mm. Yeah..."
The doorbell rang at that point, interrupting the pair's moment.
"They're here!" Kiri cooed in excitement.
"Go get the door." Bakugou said, picking up the towel and heading to the bathroom to get rid of it.
Kirishima made his way to the door, opening it with the expectation of two tiny children, excited and eager to see them.
But what he got was one crying toddler and a small girl who hung back from the social worker and clearly did NOT want to be here.
"Oh." Those were the only words he could find at the time.
"This little guy is Hajime." The social worker dropped the small boy into his arms. Thankfully, the crying stopped.
"He likes you. That's new."
"Oh...good." Kirishima bounced the child slightly, glad that at least one problem was solved.
"Where your husband?" The social worker asked.
"Ah...we're not....uhm...he's in the bathroom."
Bakugou chose that time to walk in.
"This is Riko." The social worker pushed the reluctant girl forward.
"Hey, Riko." Kirishima greeted. The girl replied by bringing her foot down on his. He sucked in a pained breath, trying not to show that she'd hurt him.
"Are you okay?!" The social worker asked.
"Yep. I've got thick skin."
"We discussed this, young lady. You are not to harm your caretakers."
Riko stuck out her tongue, taking off into the house to hide.
"I'm sorry. She can be a brat sometimes."
"It's nothing I haven't dealt with before." Bakugou stated flatly. Kirishima blinked. When had Bakugou ever dealt with something like this?
He had been dating Bakugou for three years, but he still had a lot to learn.
