Two days had gone by almost too quickly, and it was time to dance on stage with Seunghee. This was the first time I would actually be on stage with the rest of my crew. But I wasn't nervous. I had waited so long for this. So all I felt was excitement and happiness.

Someone was nervous though. It was Hongseok. He kept pacing backstage. They would preform before Seunghee.
I needed to do something.

I went over to him, and stopped him from pacing.
- haven't you done this like.. a million times?
I asked him.
- yeah.. but.
He answered.
- but what?
I asked.
- it's just that.. nobody really wants us to be here.
He said.
It almost looked like he wanted to cry.

I decided to bring him with me to another room. I didn't want people to see how upset he was.
- just.. come with me.
I said, and took his hand.
- ok..
He said.

We walked down a hallway, until we ran into G-Idle coming out of a room. I had known Soyeon for a while, so I decided to talk to her.
- can we go inside here? We need to be alone.
I whispered to her, and looked at Hongseok so she knew who I was talking about.
- yeah.. there's no one in there.
She answered.
- thanks.
I said.

Before she left with the rest of her group, she stopped to say something.
- we should talk later.
She said, and smiled.
- sure.
I said.
Then she gave me a hug, and left.
I didn't really know that she liked me that much.

I went inside the room, with Hongseok.
After I closed the door, I hit his shoulder.
- are you stupid?
I asked him.
- what?
He asked me, looking confused.
- why do you think the Kcon management changed their mind?
I asked him.
- because.. they felt sorry for us?
He said.
- that's not true. You really have no idea?
I asked him.
- no? Also I'm actually really smart.
He said, making me laugh.

- the reason you got invited to come here after all, is because all your fans complained and even said they wouldn't attend if you guys wouldn't be there.
I explained to Hongseok.
- really?
He asked, and I could see he was getting in a better mood. But he also looked a little skeptical.
- some people even said that the only reason they bought tickets was because of Pentagon.
I answered.

- how.. how do you even know this?
He asked.
- because I know how to read.
I said, and laughed at myself.

Hongseok just looked confused, but then he laughed as well.
- there's like ten articles about the whole situation. Do you know how to read?
I said.

Suddenly Hongseok pushed me against the wall, and I could feel my heart beating so fast that I feared that I would have a heart attack.
- I do know how to read. Most of all, I know how to read you.
He said.
- wh..what?
I asked.
- like when something is wrong.
He said.
What was he talking about?
- I don't know what you're talking about.
I said.
- that morning you came down with all those bruises.
He said.

Oh no.. I can't.. I can't tell him.
I thought I could tell him the truth eventually. But then I made the decision not to tell him.. because I couldn't really guess how he would react.

I have to lie.

- that's because I was embarrassed.
I said.
- embarrassed?
He asked.
- because.. I tripped and fell down the stairs.
I answered.
I tried my best to look like I was telling the truth.
- why didn't you just say that when I asked the first time?
He said, and sighed.

I guess he believes my lie..
it's better this way anyways.

We had to leave the room, because it wasn't that long until Pentagon would perform.
Hongseok had to go meet the others, so I went back to Seunghee and the rest of my dance crew.
- where did you go? Are you ok?
Jay asked me.
- I'm sorry, I had to do something important.
I explained.

- well, everything is more important than Seunghee.
Someone suddenly said.
I turned around to look where the voice came from.
It was the members from Seunghee's old idol group.
The ones that made her life a living hell.
- a lot of things is more important than me. But nothing compared to how unimportant you guys are.
Seunghee said.
- you're acting all tough now. Just because you're more famous. But I know the real you.
One of them said.
I wanted to hit her.

I know I hadn't really witnessed how much they abused Seunghee. But she had told me all about it. And I believed her.
- the real her? You don't know shit.
Jay suddenly said.
- yeah, just get the hell away from her.
Rena said.

- we just wanted to say thanks.
The girl said. I finally remembered who she was. Chaeyoung. The leader of Prism.
I used to be a huge fan of Prism until Seunghee left them.
Wait why did she thank Seunghee?

- what are you talking about?
Seunghee asked her.
- thanks to your boyfriends group, we got rid of another weak member of our group.
Chaeyoung answered.
- are.. are you talking about Yu Xia?
Seunghee asked.

Yu Xia was Yan An's girlfriend, but also a member of Seunghee's old group.
- yeah. We never really cared for her.
Chaeyoung said.

Seunghee went quiet for a while.
Then she suddenly pushed chaeyoung, resulting in chaeyoung falling to the ground.
- the next time you guys approach me, something worse will happen.
Seunghee said.
But when she noticed that everyone backstage had witnesses everything, she ran away.

I was about to go after her, but Jun stopped me.
- just let me take care of this. You need to focus on getting ready to perform.
He told me.

He was right after all. Although I cared about Seunghee to the point that I could literally die for her, I needed to make sure I was ready for what was to come.

I got this.. I'll do my best.

- don't worry. You will be excellent. After all I made sure you will.
Rena suddenly said.

Wait..
Was the reason Rena had been so hard on me At practice, because she wanted me to be prepared and do well?

- you really like me, don't you, Rena..
I said to myself.
- what?
Rena asked.
- nothing.
I said.

Then I suddenly hugged her. I didn't really realize that I did it, before she pushed me away.
- what are you doing??!!
She said.

But I couldn't do anything else but laugh.

No matter what, I would make sure she would become my friend.
Because I suddenly felt so close to her.

AN: I'm sorry if the chapter was a little boring, it was more like a filler. It's still 2 more chapters before book 2.

Rena is actually going to be one of the main characters of book 2. I hope you will love her, like I do.
