  Kaitlyn Perspective:

I sprawled out on the ground like I was hog-nose serpent when facing a dangerous predator. I flopped over, belly-up, my mouth agape. Sometimes, these reptiles even ooze blood for show. They about wrap up my appearance at the moment. My auburn hair canvassed the earth, and blood pooled out of my newly-formed gash. A puddle collected at my sides, glistening like red rubies in the sunlight. My captor didn't do this though, it was self inflicted-not on purpose, of course. I was consistently thrusting my body against my cage, trying to free my prison. Iris screeched for hours, but no one heard her-or just chose not to.The wound was about a day old, but the it  never ceased to pump a steady supply of blood out my body. I managed to keep pressure on the laceration-I mean, I was a doctor-but I felt myself getting weaker from the loss of blood and relaxed my arms by my side.

I thought I would die here. Here, in this dim cell with no beloved, at least not one alive*. At the cost of my own foolish hands. I wouldn't stay alive long enough to see my hero, the city's hero, save me. I pictured the thought of Barry standing over my lifeless corpse; I shivered, my skin forming goosebumps. Suddenly, a ripple of cold air waved past me, spreading its long, icy fingers over my body. It felt like my lungs were filled with delicate crystals, working its way up my esophagus. White frost crawled up my hair, transforming the warm curls into icy strands. My eyes froze, their color an icy blue, as chilling as glaciers moving through a tundra. I jerked upwards, and stood to my feet.

It was like I was encased a different body, my soul trapped in a cold and evil heart. I couldn't control my movements, and my limbs moved whichever way they pleased. A cloud escaped my breath, and my skin paled dramatically. I looked at my injured leg, and was bewildered when I saw it was fully healed. Ice have covered the wound like skin glue on a minor scratch.

"Let's get us out of here." The words came out of my mouth, but it wasn't my voice. It was silvery, soft, and delicate like a snowflake, with it's intricate designs of ice.

"Us?" I whispered, my voice quavering.

My blue lips curled to a smirk, and my arms involuntarily rised perpendicular to my chest. In an instant, beams of ice, sleet, and hail exited my palms, glistening like diamonds. My hands targeted  the metal bars, hurling the element of ice in one controlled area. I gasped in awe, amazed at this new sight, but also terrified of my capabilities.

Once the 'snowstorm' had stopped, my alter-ego blew her fingers in amusement and walked towards the cell door. She stood for a moment, then flicked the metal cage with her right hand. The door shattered like glass, exploding into shards of sharp ice. Her boots crunched on the ground as we escaped the cell.
