Iris' Perspective:

I craned my neck around to the demonic beasts on my tail. Their eyes stole my breath, for their were none; only an empty eye socket remained, brimming with darkness. Their bodies took the air, with loose rags casting in the wind behind them. All their was to see was their bones, ossified rib cages and smooth skulls. Their scathing claws protruded out of their bony fingers, waiting for the perfect opportunity to snatch me, hurt me, kill me.

I yelped as one of them seized my top. I yanked my blouse away from the creature, and it let out an ugly growl. It grunted, "Time-time Wrath-wrath." The sounds made my stomach flip, my insides sick. The voice was ghostly, growing softer and spookier each syllable.

I picked up my speed, and for the first time, looked up. I was running down an endless series of dark hallways, a red carpet laid across the center of each. At the end of each passageway was a bright red door, leading to the next corridor. Portraits were displayed all over the walls. The same drawings of the same person. It was him: my captor. The man in emerald lightning.

The silhouetted figure was concealed in shadows, only his streak was visible

The silhouetted figure was concealed in shadows, only his streak was visible. In the photograph, he bowed his head under his green hoodie, the emerald lightning engulfing him. Each time I ran down the same hallway, I studied the image, trying to decipher it's meaning. Why him?

I neared the terminal scarlet door, and firmly grasped the handle. I twisted it to my right and pulled it forward. Instead of leaving the door open, I slammed it behind me, locking the ghouls on the other side. I sighed in relief. The crimson door rumbled behind me, shaking in the fury of the monstrous creatures. Howls of evil echoed from the other side, begging to be released. Begging to be let loose. The hinges began to unscrew, becoming looser and looser each second. I felt the wood giving way. Sh*t!

 "Well, hello again

"Well, hello again." A masculine voice said, clearly amused with himself.

  The Speed Force.

I spun around to meet his face. "What do you want with m-!?"

Barry!? Instead of Eddie's corpse standing across from me, I saw my husband smiling at me. I ran over to his slim body, and placed my hands over his cleanly shaven chin. I felt his skin under my fingertips; he was real. His body was warm, like it always was. His lips curled to his ears, flashing his white teeth. I brought him closer to me and tightly compressed his chest to mine. My arms wrapped around shoulder blades, but his were limp and motionless. I broke away and forced my lips onto his. My mouth canvassed his, taking in the fumes of his sweet cologne. I let him go and breathed, "Your here!" He didn't respond, he just smiled at me. His eyes were drained of color.

My eyes scanned down his body in confusion. What they saw made me shriek in fear. My eyes landed on a hole in his chest. He skin was missing, and I could see the organs inside his chest. All that was missing was his beating heart which laid still in his palm.

"Barry!" I crashed to the floor, and cupped my hand cover my mouth. Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision. I watched as he tumbled to the floor. His skull struck the floor, spraying blood on my hands. His hands relaxed, sending his stopped heart rolling across the room. I looked down at my hands. His blood stained them. I smeared the wine on my cheeks, and sobbed into them. How could this have happened?

"Iris, why are you crying?" another voice remarked, breaking the mood.

I lifted my head, drying my tears. Barry was gone; his carcasses has vanished, and well as the smeared blood on my skin. I looked up towards the mysterious voice. My dad towered over me, smiling the same smile Barry did.

I screamed, "STOP MESSING WITH MY MIND!" I pressed my fingers to my temples, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

Long fingers rested on my shoulder. I looked up to see his face; his smile was aggravated, his eyes malicious, hungry for blood. I could finally see his identity, the face behind the hood. The man in emerald lightning stood over me, his hand vibrating in place, aiming at my chest.
